Hi
I'm 48 and first got this about 7mths back came on very sudden , fever , burning penis tip and lower left back pain that travels from front to back and feels like its burning muscle , burning pain in the left groin area and some acheing in the left testicle , all these pains are generally happening one at a time and seem to take turns at random .
I have no problems with urine frequency and dont get up through the night to go although a little slow to start and slight dribbling afterwards and some intermittant burning ( I'm glad this part has basicly gone )
Taking a crap seems to be what sets symptoms of more than anything .
These pains have been getting better at the rate of about 3% per week , by avoiding stress , walking an 1hr a day briskly with stretching and taking metamucil daily , my pains and symtoms are 20% of what they were 6mths ago .
4yrs ago I was very active and fit , had a heart rate of 56 and trained at a boxing gym 5 nights a week , then all that stopped and my work put me behind a computer for long hrs for 3yrs solid , I have gained 50 pds in weight , I feel that all the sitting and lack of exercise along with lots of stress caused all this .
My biggest problem is I live in rural Australia and have no means of PT or medical help without huge distance travel .
My main concern is Prostate Cancer , I can deal with the pains I get as they are getting better with time , I'm thinking if it was cancer that symtoms would get worse with time not better , so my question is what are the major differences with chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome symptoms and prostate cancer .
Thanks Rod

Those are not the symptoms of prostate cancer.RodB wrote:I'm 48 and first got this about 7mths back came on very sudden , fever , burning penis tip and lower left back pain that travels from front to back and feels like its burning muscle , burning pain in the left groin area and some acheing in the left testicle
At your age you should be assessed for prostate cancer with a PSA test and DRE. Here's a DRE:

Good News! The great ProstaQ is BACK at last! You must try it.
