Urinary Output Over a 6-Week Period

Post by alphacentauri »

If you enjoy statistics on urinary output (and let's face it, who doesn't?), I have some exciting news. Inspired by Patrick and his super-sized measuring cup (viewtopic.php?t=1722), I conducted a little experiment of my own. For 6 weeks I peed into my somewhat smaller cup & recorded the findings in a log. To summarize, here's the average daily frequency as it changed week by week, along with average urinary output per trip (I recorded liquid intake less rigorously; I drink between 1.5 -- 2.5 liters (50-75 oz) a day, much of that, water). According to what I was told, normal average urinary output is 350-650cc, so here's how I compare:

PERIOD ----- FREQUENCY ----- OUTPUT

WEEK 1 ----- 7.1 ----- 246cc
WEEK 2 ----- 6.8 ----- 293cc
WEEK 3 ----- 6.2 ----- 289cc
WEEK 4 ----- 5.7 ----- 309cc
WEEK 5 ----- 6.4 ----- 305cc
WEEK 6 ----- 6.9 ----- 300cc

There was a big improvement in output from week 1 to week 2, but then not much change in the following weeks. But the average output of just the first morning trip had improved more dramatically, jumping by over 200cc from first to last week:

PERIOD ----- OUTPUT, FIRST A.M. TRIP

WEEK 1 ----- 435cc
WEEK 2 ----- 503cc
WEEK 3 ----- 500cc
WEEK 4 ----- 585cc
WEEK 5 ----- 668cc
WEEK 6 ----- 671cc

Here's an example of a good day from Week 6:

MONDAY, MAY 31, 2004

9:15am ----- 850cc
12:15pm ---- 350cc
2:15pm ----- 200cc
6:00pm ----- 325cc
8:30pm ----- 200cc
12:15am ---- 400cc

Urinary output tended to drop after ejaculation, sometimes dramatically, correlating with an increase in inflammation. Example from Week 1:

SUNDAY, APRIL 25, 2004

10:45am ---- 400cc
2:30pm ----- 150cc
(3:30pm ejaculation)
6:00pm ----- 125cc
8:30pm ----- 50cc
10:30pm ---- 100cc
12:00am ---- 75cc

This clearly shows a flare-up of inflammation after ejaculation. Even though I drank a normal amount of fluids, I peed poorly, felt a sense of burning & almost a "˜puffiness' inside. Has anyone else experienced this? And can anyone guess as to where the inflammation is centered based on that? In the prostatic urethra? :pensativo:

In the days & weeks ahead this trend improved, the post-ejaculatory burning easing & output falling less.

Anyway, I'll be bringing these to my uro when I get to it. Meanwhile, comments & interpretations are welcome.

Exactly the same after ejaculation . Have no output and no pressure . It feels like its being blocked . Very frustrating . I hope you find some answers .

Condoms for intercourse and consciously relaxing during masturbatory ejaculation help many men avoid overstimulating the pelvic nerves and lead to far less post-orgasmic pain and inflammation.

Do not tense the pelvic muscles during ejaculation. Let your pelvis remain "limp".
