Quercetin Question
After two weeks on 500mg twice a day of SolarRay Quercetin with some mild success, last night I switched to Quercetin. About 4 hours after my first dose my symptoms were awful. Burning, constant urge to urinate and perannial pain. Is this normal? And if so, how long before it stops making me worse? Appreciate anyone else's guidance and experience with this...
Age: 45 Onset: 43. | Symptoms: Tightness, spasms, burning and pain in the perineum. Occassional mild pain after urination in the perineum. Helped by: Cardura, quitting caffiene, relaxation, fiber, stand up workstation and some PT a year ago. Makes Worse: ANXIETY, ULTRAM, going to work, sitting or squatting too long, constipation (big problems), stress, and sometimes unexplainable.

An exacerbation of symptoms for the first week is normal, as trapped inflammatory secretions drain. Give it a week and tell us how you feel.
Good News! The great ProstaQ is BACK at last! You must try it.

Please let us know about your increased symptoms after you've taken it a couple weeks. Mine should be coming any day now, but I'm a little leary after your post (only because my urethral burning is horrible, and I can't take something that could cause more burning and frequency) Unless its just temporary!!!
Age:33 | Onset Age: 20 | Symptoms: burning urethra after urinating, followed by rush to urinate again, rectal pain after a bowel movement sometimes, frequency. | Helped By: Pyridium and Ativan | Worsened By: stress, sitting and unknown reasons.

I have taken one any accredited quercetin product at lunch time along with one SolarRay in the AM and at night and haven't had a similiar flare up yet. I will increase the any accredited quercetin product and decrease the Solar Ray if no more flare ups happen. Maybe it was casued by somethign else. My symptoms have been coming and going for the last 4 weeks. Odd, they are litterally gone from Saturday through Monday, then on Tuesday they come back and last through Friday?

No symptoms on the weekends? Perhaps that's because you are relaxing?

I've thought of that...I set at a computer 8 hours a day Mon-Fri, but Monday I am fine, it alwasy hits me on Tuesday and then the degree symptoms comes and goes through the rest of the week. I added a pillow to =my chair and it makes it a bit more comfortable and try not to stay setting too long.
I can usually get them calmed down after a warm tub in the evening. I do consume some beers on the weekends, but it doesn't bother me that day or the day after. I don't think at this point I really have a food trigger that I can put my finger on.
All in all in every week since this started I have gotten a little better. The first week was brutal. I quit drinking sodas and all caffiene and started on Quercetin and Saw Palmetto about 3 weeks ago. I'm hoping the any accredited quercetin product takes me the rest of the way. Appreciate the help.
