I am new and have had chronic Prostatitis. Since over the last year if left untreated it has spread to a kidney infection which has been eradicated with levaquin, is it safe to assume that it is BACTERIAL prostatitis???
Also, since Bactrim, Biaxin, and Doxycyline failed is it probable that germ is resistant to those and not to quinilones??? The problem is is that the quinilones make my tendons ache but are the only thing that clear up the infection. Catch 22...

Big Dave, since I am not sure how intense the discomfort of your prostatitis is, I can't say this would apply to you for sure, but I would trade tendon ache in a second for my prostatitis. Honestly, I would. My prostatitis has been resistant to all antibiotics. It is great that you have found one that works for you. Stick with it. Just my humble opinion. All the best.
