Cyst like mass that comes and go's

Post by one day... »

I have a cyst like mass that is located inside the scrotum, not attached to the testical, hard to explain, but I can feel it when I stand. Seems to float freely I guess. Sometimes it is large, other times it is small or seems to be gone. I had it checked by uro and it wasn't around that day, said everything was fine. Anyone else have this problem?

Sounds like you may have a varicocele. Dilated viens which distent when you bare down (valsalva). Another possibility is an epidydimal cyst, but that won't go away, it would be there all the time. Stand up, take a deep breath and strain. The "cyst" should be obvious if it's a varicocele. Other possibilities include a hernia, hydrocele (free fluid in the scrotum) and a spermatocele. These are only susgestions and not a diagnosis. The only way to know is to have a physical exam and a scrotal ultrasound.

I had the same symptom and it was nothing, but as Ralph says, have it checked out again.
