Infiltrations against prostatitis

To my fellow readers:

Completely disconcerted, I read the assertions of the anonymous patient
that, after just the first session, suspended the cycle of three
infiltrations against prostatitis. My experience has been totally
different.

I recently completed a full cycle of three infiltrations (carried out by
Prof. Federico Guercini with extraordinary ability), and I can testify that
this treatment has destroyed the microorganism that had tormenting me for
more than one and a half years. Just as promised. From the first
infiltration on, over the last three months, I have observed a significant
change in the location and decrease in intensity of pain.

At this point, the inflammation of the prostate is sustained by a problem
with my bladder. Now, I expect that my recovery will be complete when I
undergo surgery to eliminate the urethral neck stenosis, the primary cause
of my prostatitis.

It's my belief that, by suspending the treatment after just one
infiltration, one would invalidate its effectiveness, exactly as what might
happen to patients interrupting a cycle of antibiotics against pneumonia
after just one day.

I would like to reassure anyone who wishes to start this therapeutic cycle,
which is always exhaustively explained by Prof. Guercini to his patients,
that this treatment for me and hundreds of other men has not been dangerous.
Rather, it has shown huge promise, and is probably the only hope for many
prostatic patients.

Addendum
I am pleased to be able to add that I am currently recovering from the
above-mentioned surgery. Prof. Guercini gave me the most intensive,
dedicated care, without concern for his extra time and effort, and he showed
incredibly generous bedside manners, consistently offering sensitive and
competent interventions.

I cannot express how grateful I am for his expertise, his dedication to my
care, and the thoroughness of his professional service. Although the
discomfort and the invasiveness of the procedures won't soon fade from my
memory, his strong and supportive manners helped me through these difficult
days. For the first time, after years of excruciating pain, I can finally
look forward to a new life, one free from the constraints and corrosion of
chronic physical impairment.

share my experience with other patients who may want to explore this
treatment.

I am pleased to hear that you are doing better. However, I don't beleive that injections are the way to go for the vast majority of sufferers. If you HAVE had a documented infection (have you had this confirmed?) then this approach may be warrented, although not as first line therapy.

The bottom line is this: Research clearly shows that the vast majority of patients do NOT have an active infection in their prostates, but that the majority DO have pelvic floor muscle spasm. Therefore, injecting the prostate with ABX has no underlying rationale as a treatment in CPPS.

No, although I'm not saying that it will not work in specific cases such as yours. However, as the vast majority of chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome patients suffer from pelvic floor muscle spasm, effective treatment options need to address this as the underlying cause.

If by infiltration - you mean injections - then I have also benifited from this approach.

My Uro followed Dr. bahn's protocol - a little different the Dr. G - but the benifit has been tremendous.

I do NOT KNOW if in actuallity it was treating an infectious agent, a muscular problem, or gremlins in my prostate - all I know is I am a better man for having had it done.

I agree with alprost that this approach may not be for everyone - but I was on the verge of giving up - and I am now back in control of my life- able to be a father and husband again (instead of a virtual invalid) as the mastercard commercial goes..."...thats priceless..."

I'm doctor ivan aguilar from mexico.
as a matter of fact I have been injecting the prostatitis patients with Botox, and believe me they have a better quality in thier lives, maybe is an expensive treatment for them here in mexico, but the results are great.
