My Cysto

Post by dkell9394 »

Hi Everyone,
I had a cysto done today, and honestly, it was not bad at all. It burns like hell when I have to piss, but I was given some medicine which seems to help it a bit.

My symptoms prompting this cysto had been a dull ache in the penis and redness on the tip of my urethra. My uro noted that my urethra did appear redder than normal, but I had nothing related to cancer.

So my question is---what do I have? Is redness in the urethra and occasional dull ache in the penis a classic case of prostatitis? Please give me your feedback.

Mark,
Do lots of people complain about redness in the urethra on this site? I guess I was hoping that it wasn't some STD and is very typical of CPPS.

I should also note that my urethra isn't swollen, just red. Based on that, is that typical of what others describe as a main symptom of CPPS?

Yes, reported very often. Mine was not swollen either. Some have redness and swollen opening too.

At least you know you don't have cancer. Now for the bad news, welcome to the world of undiagnosised disease for which there is no cure. :x

Your question is one which everyone here is asking. I wish I knew the answer.

I told you it would burn when you pee'd.
