Hi all,
I'm a 29 years old guy from Denmark, and this is my first post to this
newsgroup - and sorry for my bad English.
Let's start from the beginning:
For about 2½ years ago I went to a party. We got drunk and jumped into the
ocean (the water wasn't warm and I got really cold for a long time) - at
last I ended up in an unknown woman's bed (we had sex, and regrettably she
wasn't my girlfriend).
Three days later it began to burn when I urinate. I spoke to my girlfriend
and told her everything about my small affair. Of course she was sad but
luckily she decided to forgive me, and thanks for that - I really love my
girlfriend.
So I went to see my doctor, he made a test and the next day he told me that
there was nothing wrong with me. No Chlamydia and no infections (I should
mention that my girlfriend had Chlamydia from when I started to date her and
the next six month - in that period we had sex MANY times but they never
found Chlamydia inside me!)
Five days later the burning sensation was gone, but suddenly I started to
urinate frequent and my urination almost stopped. I got scared and went to
se my doctor again - he thought that I might have a bladder infection. But
again, the tests showed that there was nothing wrong with me. He gave me
some medication against inflammation (they use the same medication against
rheumatism) and send me to an Uro. The Uro looked into my bladder via a
cystoscope and told me that I didn't have cancer. He also put his finger
into my rectum and said that my prostate felt a little swollen - I was, as
well as you guys, diagnostic with Chronic Prostatitis.
After about a week everything was back to normal and I stopped taking the
pills. The need for frequent urination came back and I decided to take the
pills for the next 6 months - I did and had no problems at all - after six
month I gave up the pills and still had no symptoms. I was happy and thought
that I was cured!!
But this new-year I was outside and got cold again. Five days later I got
high fever and shiver (I felt like I was going to freeze to dead) and it was
VERY difficult for me to urinate. The symptoms and the fever went away after
a couple of days (I didn't see the doctor). About 14 days later the symptoms
started again but this time my urinating was burning and there was also some
blood in the urine. I went to the doctor and the diagnose was a bladder
infection which was treated with antibiotic in 6 days - after the treatment
my infection was gone but I was really tired and had a headache almost every
day. The next month my frequent urinating went on and of several times, but
the last 14 days I have had no symptoms at all.
I have no other symptoms than the frequent need to urinate (OK sometimes I
feel a really small irritating sensation between my rectum and the scrotum).
I also have no pain when having sex or when ejaculate.
As I mentioned before, my frequent need to urinate comes and goes. Sometimes
I need to urinate every 30-minutes and the next day the symptoms can be gone (spooky!??!)
Since I was about 17 years old I have had problems with leaking small amount
of urine after I finish urinating. And during the last 3 years I have had
some rash on the head of my penis - it really looks like fungus and it
usually comes 2 days after having sex a with my girlfriend.
So, this was my story - what do you mean about it? What would you propose me
to do? My doctor and my uro says that I just should learn to live with it -
it's easy for them to say that ;-)
What about Alpha-blocker's - do you think that they can help me?
I really wish good luck to all of your guys and again, sorry for my bad
English!
Regards
Torben

Cold weather can exacerbate muscle spasm and is well known to worsen pelvic pain symptoms (there is even a study proving it). Your sexual history does not indicate infection, except perhaps a NSU as a trigger.
Your immune system sounds a little tired, what with the post-cystitis fatigue and rash after sex. Look at taking vitamin supplements, getting more rest, de-stressing through anxiolytics or psychotherapy. Maybe your diet is lacking - cut down on sugars if you are eating a lot of sweet food.
