Change in ejaculate - warning signs of CP?

Just wondering about something. Prior to the onset of my symptoms 2 months ago, I experienced the following:

1. About 7-8 years ago, I noticed I wasn't 'shooting' as well as I did before during ejaculation. I couldn't shoot as far, or with as much power. It seemed to happen suddenly rather than gradually.

2. About 3 years ago I noticed the ejaculate had became a lot more watery, with first few 'shots' of fairly normal viscosity followed by a more watery discharge - all during the course of ejaculation (no prolonged discharges after orgasm).

Neither symptom was accompanied by any pain or discomfort. At the time I thought little of it. Just figured I was getting older & less 'virile' (I'm 35). Now I wonder if these were these warning signs of CP!

I should note that I still do not experience pain during ejaculation, with my symptoms being mainly suprapubic & urethral pain/burning & urinary urgency/frequency.

Anyone had similar experiences? Thanks for any input.

I cannot help you on this but wanted to ask you how you feel now. Any improvment yet? Whats your thaught on IC? Will you try any IC therapies?

Thanks for replying Paso. I will post a 'progress report' under a new thread, maybe next week, but overall I have to say I feel better than a month ago when I joined this forum. I will post another message about IC, but since the consensus here seems to be that no one knows the exact relationship of IC & CP, I have to say it's hard for me to know which one I have - or whether that even matters.

But for now I prefer to think it's CP. I've had an enlarged prostate at least 4 years before my current symptoms began & I had other pain symptoms at that time more connected to the prostate than bladder (epididymitis or orchalgia, now mostly gone), so whatever I have now didn't just come out of the blue. I stopped taking the bladder relaxant (Detrol) 2 weeks ago & I don't want to try any IC-specific therapies for now, other than being a lot more careful about what I eat & drink.

I've done what would've been unthinkable for me just 2 months ago - I've given up pepsi! But I'm bracing myself to have another beer, maybe next week. If I suddenly stop posting, you'll know the cause of my demise :wink:
