Physical Therapy and the Standford Protocol

Post by scoobysnacks »

I've just ordered the book. I'm going to read it before going to a PT. But, I spoke to a PT yesterday that said he could do myofascial release and stretch out the pelvic area and the muscles. He said thought that actual pelvic floor massage was created for women as you can enter the vagine; he went on to say finding a PT that would do it throught the anus here in OH would be very difficult if not impossible. Will what he can do be helpful and worth the 90 dollars per week. Also I was going to do one session for an hour per week. How long should I try this before deciding if it is successful? Thanks,

I'd ask if he's treated any other chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome sufferers. Might be worth trying as I'm sure you have external trigger points as well that he could treat initially - which is a lot less invasive (and allows you to build some trust up).
