Is it possible that the semen consistency changes without being infected.
I have chronic prostatitis and my semen volume is quite much reduced and comes out with no force at all. The consistency ia also a lot thicker.
I have searched the web and came acorss some infertility clinic pages and it said that semen cultures were always carried out when the consistency was abnormal. Mine is like thick glue by the way.
However I just wanted to place my question here so hopefully I can have soem answears on my question.
By the way I really appreciate this site where everybody cand go and ease their minds and exchange knowledge.

Yes, semen consistency can definitely change without infection. For instance, inflammation in the tubules and ducts of the prostate and adjacent glands can inhibit the degree of fluidity by barring passage of secretions during ejaculation.
Good News! The great ProstaQ is BACK at last! You must try it.

I've also found that since getting chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome the consistancy of the prostate component of my semen has got a lot thicker.
