hi,
went to see uro today and he suggested a diagnostic procedure called a 'fluoroscopic urodynamic study'. it sounds like hydrodistension's little brother. am wondering if people have had this and if they think it's worthwhile.
to quote info, "small tube into bladder. the bladder is then filled with x-ray dye. as the bladder is fille it is imaged by x-ray and the pressure cause by filling the bladder is measured. you may be asked to cough or strain in order to make the bladder leak."
problem is, leakage isn't me number one problem - although it's there. the real problem is pain, and I don't see how this test will indicate anything!
i have to wait a damn month! he said if that shows nothing he will do a hydrodistension. no doubt that will take us well into next year. oh well.
any advice appreciated.

When at a loss, uros sometimes start doing unnecessary studies to make the patient think something positive is being done. It also lets the uro turn an essentially unprofitable patient into something more lucrative. I'm not saying this is what's happening in your case, but it does happen.
Good News! The great ProstaQ is BACK at last! You must try it.
