hi cam3oni

I am reading intensively in this forum for a year and I never saw another guy here with the absolute exact history, symptoms and treatment (except the 5 weeks levo/zitro combi) after 10 days doxy, 1g zithro and a pill of Cipro which nearly crippled me, let me stay away from any antibiotics for a lifetime. Nevertheless before getting to this forum I nearly got me into the hands of some of the international specialists (Dr. Pavlos Giorgiadis in Athens you can read it in the warning about clinic/therapists section in detail) with their 99 percent cure rate with their magic hand prostate massage technics and flooding you with every Abx available on market for a astronomic costs... God bless I spend the 20 dollars to read about those quacks here in details.

Additional to that I am absolutely anti anxious about anything and don't feel any guilt at all like I was single like you at this moment.

After 4 years I am still alive tough my symptoms are still persistent. What helps me most is the "give a shit about it" mentality and trying to perform a happy life as good as possible. Nevertheless although it may sound insane: This crazy shitty condition turned my priorities in life completely and it was/is an eyeopener for what is really important in life and I don't spend ANY time anymore thinking about Things or persons which are bad for me or don't fit in my vision of having a good future.

Ps: I am not esoteric or a Hippie of 68 ;)

In addition: I like the following sentence from your post:

"This condition really sucks man. Sometimes life hands you a shit sandwich, and you just got to sit there and eat it. "

That's it maybe it is our mission to handle that condition in our life, although it seems more than unfair, seeing some people f×××ing unprotected around and cheating their girlfriends and getting no symptoms at all..

Always look on the bright siiiide of life !!

Thanks Nag. I read your story and whatever happened to me, also seemed to happen to you.

And I believe in our case, the emotional aspect of it has nothing to do with it. Believe it or not, I actually thought it would make a funny story, all my friends had gotten chlamydia before and it went away no big deal. Little did I know what was to come.

But here I am 4 months later... I used to think that some higher power was trying to teach me a lesson in life. But I've learned my lesson 10x over, so I'm past that hopeful idea.

Thank you for your reply, it means a lot. You should update your story on here more often! BTW have you tried pelvic floor massage/ stretching? Would be curious to know if it helped you.

Dont underestimate the subconscious mind. Maybe your pelvis tensed up as a guarding response "knowing" there was a thread.

Cam3oni you say it man!

Yes I would say in the meantime I learned it a 400x times but so what...

Unfortunately PT for this issue CPPS with men is not existent in my country (central Europe)

I already read headache in the pelvis, Amy Stein, Sarno and 20 other related books I did some stretching but maybe not to disciplined everyday yet. I didn't do anything Internal PT with therawand or so, I think I'll look forward to get a PT in the future in another country, Netherlands or Germany... I am a sporty person so running 2 times a week gives me already a relief, although the burning in the urethra whilst pissing never subside completely (it varies from day to Day and also during the day. It is nearly gone when I am drinking Liters of fluid (even beer hehe)

But again, maybe Internal PT will be another big part to handle this

That stinks... yea I am currently doing internal work with the therawand so I will let you know how that goes, been at it for about a month now, and not much improvement.

Is your only symptom at the moment burning on urination?

Yes I would say the burning on urination is one of the main problems, sometimes/often I also have burning sensation in the urethra (whilst sitting, or after ejaculation) but it is bearable and I learned to live with it. Hopefully I am not dependent of pharmaceuticals (painkillers or antidepressants), I never took it and I won't take it in the future.

A related symptom which came 6 months after the "initial event" was dry eyes, which I never had problems with before. First of all I thought I would have the Reiters syndrome and the chlamydia took over my full body and reached the eyes, but after 3 eye-doctors and two eye-swabs which turned out to be negative, I refused the chlamydial theory in the eyes. It is the same with the bacterial origin in the prostate, it's really hard not to think that there aren't bacteria the cause of the problems. But I already read it in the forum that CPPS with its interdisciplinary factors, may trigger a "dry eye symptom".

Cam3roni, I would be really interested how the internal work with the therawand is helping you!

Yea I was scared of the whole reiters syndrome as well as I have tendonitis in my elbow that started the exact same time, but just coincidence I figure now. Did you ever have perineum pain? And I will for sure keep this post updated, don't worry. I'm glad that your pain seems to at least be isolated to your urethra

As I do my internal massage, I feel something like a ligament or tendon around the 9 o'clock position on the pelvic floor. It's sensitive. Is this a normal tendon in that area or could it be a tightened muscle?

Your in an area where you can be somewhere between obturator muscle and the mid section of the tendinous arch of the levator ani depending on the depth of the wand or finger. On palpation, what do you feel?
Age: 52 | Onset Age:49 (but I may have had warning signs 25 yrs earlier)| Symptoms: Pretty much all the usual suspects. Frequency, urgency, inability to always empty, burning and numbing uretheral, penile & perineum pain. Frequent urination at night.| Helped By: Internal PT. Myrbetriq helps but is by no means great. TENS to help sleep, and hand held massages of the lower back, hips and buttocks. Standing and physical labor help. Stretches and hot baths. Occasionally use gel iced pad on the perineum. Worsened By: Sitting (being sedentary), driving, sex, bowel movements, tight clothing and underwear. | Other comments: Currently trying L-Theanine

It feels a lot like the tendons on opposite side of knee caps. When I palpate, it is sensitive, tbh that whole area feels tender, I still don't get any amazing relief from massaging it, but yes it is tender.

I guess what I should have asked, is whether there is any specific referred pain anywhere else when in that area? Instead of massaging it, have you tried using only direct pressure to that spot? I believe sometimes when I am in that area, using the wand, it skips off one side over to the other (if that makes any sense).

No. There doesnt seem to be much referred pain, only in the area i am putting direct pressure. Yes, i do use direct pressure. Also, i know exactly what you mean, and sometimes it does skip sides. I am only tender on my left side, which is where all my pain comes from. But i can't seem to get rid of the tenderness

Same with me. (Left side) My PT say's the same thing while working on me. My left side is always tight and my right side is rarely even a little tight.

Guys since you are all doing internal... should I start it?
How do I get a therawand or should I buy a crystal wand
from Amazon.com (since I am in Europe)?
