Received my wand yesterday (the mrs is in stitches). Any tips or help with starting? I have to learn by myself as I can’t find an internal PT here in Japan. Thanks

I'll keep this short.
Webslave is right:
Get a good PT. Get a good PT. Get a good PT!
Meditate.
Lower stress levels and plan on months to learn how to do it successfully. Then, KEEP doing it.
Diet may be important for a while to help reduce the extra inflammation, but it's not necessarily going to fix everything.
Find Zyflamend and take as directed on the bottle.
Take vitamin D3, and B complex supplements. B12 can possible cause burning urination if you urethra is already tender, so use with discretion.
Find someone positive to talk to a couple times a week, who will encourage you and give you positive support. It helps.
You'll beat this. Just hang in there. It can take a while so don't beat yourself up over it.
Best of luck to you!
B.
Age: 49| Onset Age: 47| Symptoms: Pain locations: Intermittent left and right front pelvic floor lateral to urethra; occasionally left side tailbone pain (rarer); left spermatic chord pain (become rare); Post BM-Pain helped by distraction during Bowel Movement.| Current meds: None. Helped by: deep breathing, mediation, hiking, distractions, exercise. Approximately 98% improved, varying depending on stress levels.

Update:

Hi guys, as always many thanks for all the help so far.

I’ve been doing the HITP stretches twice a day along with some additional yoga stretches and working on my hamstrings which are sooooo bad.

Also this week started on trying to drop my floor throughout the day and bring m attention there as much as possible.

My pain has got better especially behind, side, above and in the penis and testicles. There is like a constant low grade piano radiating from my penis area which is uncomfortable. Also after ejaculation I used to have pain in my penis for at least a day, that pain does still arise but is better.

I'm living in rural Japan and have searched for a PT to help me but no luck.

I bought the wand, just gotta get some lubricant and was wondering if you guys who do use the wand can suggest any self learning sites/videos.

To be honest the main thing that gets me down is the frequency. It has got better but it is always on my mind. But again it is slowly getting better. So days I go twice in an hour then nothing for two etc it’s soooo random at the moment.

I had my last Uro appointment this week and he said you will have to live with prostatitis forever and gave my a bunch of anti inflammatory meds. Sorry but not excepting that! Determined to beat this.

I’ve been doing mediation for 6 years now due to have mild anxiety, and I do recommend it to any going through any kind of stress.

Any help guys as usually is welcome. Pls

Off to an onsen (hot spring) right now

Enjoy the weekend

What kind of NSAIDs did he give you that aren't going to work anyway? When I hear responses like that from a Dr. I feel like punching somebody in the throat.

No I haven’t started using the wand, I’m a bit worried about poking around in there with no kind of training /help from a pt.

Maybe this could ease your mind about starting. I'm not sure it's going help locate the trigger points, but it helps kind of lay things out for you. I personally lay on each side as I am working on it, not sitting down like in the video. You want to be comfortable.
