Oxybutynin exerts a direct antispasmodic effect on the smooth muscle of the bladder. Bladder spasm is not a typical problem seen in CPPS but is part of IC:

You may get an even better outcome with intravesical instillations.

So I saw a myofascial massage therapist.... Was able to recreate the lower abdominal pain I always seem to have by massaging other areas of my abs..... I still can't unclench my butt...... I also saw a hypnotist just to see what that would be like..... After deep relaxation with her I immediately peed freely..... This has to be a muscle problem..... Right?

Like my diabetes team... Saw them today.... They still not convinced this has anything to do with. And I mean do the muscles ever stop clenching if I stretch everyday and try to relax? :(

Hey Kyle, her recreating the pain while doing the trigger point is excellent news ;) that should be a light bulb for u in terms of pin pointing your symptoms. Keep it up๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

Maybe give it a break? Let yourself heal up for awhile!

Oh and amonges.... the massage I got was not with my physical trainer. It was with a massage therapist. He works independently close to me but has an office on the other side of my state line that accepts insurance. I'm going to try to get my doc to write a script for PT and see if I can bill insurance for his services. I'm trying a trigger point massage in the morning. But 70 dollar massages rack up a huge bill so can't do it too often... especially seeing if it works or helps at all.

Our therapists have gained valuable training and experience through continuing education seminars by Janet Hulme, a leading physical therapist specializing in pelvic floor therapy, and John F. Barnes, the leading authority on myofascial release (MFR). Weโ€™re here to help you find a solution that works for you.
Does this sound like a good pelvic floor therapy people?

Like I'm pretty sure this is my issue now. Like I noticed that when I'm clenching my butt it's pulling muscles in the front. And it's like I have to do everything to relax my sphincter to pee standing up. Sitting....I have zero problems?

What ya think webs?

Well kinda bummed.... that PT place said her myofascial stuff was all internal.... I really need someone to work on my abs and figure out how to break the cycle of clenching my butt. I feel like its rearing up whatever muscle allows you to relax and pee standing.

Any thoughts on this.

Bought any accredited quercetin product and using NAC (N Acetyl Cysteine) and stretching.... have been able to pee "better". Currently also using magnesium and multivitamin.

Appears to be helping. This is a slow road. I just wish I wasn't so tired from the benzos. Sadly if I don't take any I have like a full blown panic attack over this.

I hope the zoloft starts working better to help with this.

I'm finding it hard to zone this out and meditate.

:/

Any encouraging words of advice?
