Not at all. I'm pretty sure it helped me when I used it for a few weeks. I think it has some of the same properties as quercetin.ramana wrote:I had forgotten about this. My impression was that broccoli broth treatment went out after discovery of muscles as the cause of pain. In any case I have no urinary symptoms (thankfully) but otherwise everything else (and prostrate is absolutely normal it seems).

Re: Supplements to try
I love Phenibut, most like Ativan that I've tried. And its OTC. I take 1 tsp EVERY night after work. I have found taken that way the effects do not wear off.....I love this stuff and when I dont take it, I have no withdrawal issues. I really can't find any negative reviews or research or toxicity on the stuff. I swear by it, especially after an internal session or lifting weights.
Fish oil is really good.
And any accredited quercetin product does help me, but I really dont have too bad of symptoms anymore, just dealing with some tightening when I overdo it.
Take care,
Ss

Re: Supplements to try
Just a few thoughts about my supplement intake:
Until a few weeks I was taking Zyflamend together with a compound of Quercetin 1000 mg+ Vitamin C 120 mg + Saw Palmetto 320 mg. I used to take a product that combined Quercetin with Bromelain and Papain but that got discontinued and I couldn’t find a a replacement without the Saw Palmetto.
I was a bit weary of the Saw Palmetto because a couple of years ago I tried finasteride because of hair loss and the possible benefits on the prostate.
Strangely enough I felt it negatively affected my mood.
After some research and a talk with a doctor, I found out this can happen in some people because its anti-androgen effects
Saw Palmetto is a natural product but works more or less the same way as finasteride by preventing testosterone converting into DHT.
I must say that the last months I felt fatigued a lot of the time, not so much physically but rather mentally. I didn’t think anything of it and put it down to the usual work stress.
Until I ran out of my supplement and decided it would be good to take a break from supplement intake. Just to get the body flush out all the possible excess.
I don’t know if this is coincidental but I am starting to feel more energized lately and I was starting to make the connection between Saw Palmetto and my previous experience with finasteride.
Has anybody experienced anything similar? I understand 320 mg is quite a high dose compared to the 15 mg in Quercetin.
I also doubt the effectiveness of Saw Palmetto in CPPS, since the target audience would be men with BPH. However, it seems to be difficult to find a good Quercetin compound without Saw Palmetto so any advice would be recommended.

Re: Supplements to try
Right, I already seem to have inquired about this about a year ago
viewtopic.php?f=37&t=5193
I also came across this information http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/drug ... metto.html which states that Saw Palmetto in chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome has no significant benefits.
I think I'll try a good Quercetin supplement without the Saw Palmetto. I see that Quercetin suppliers do have a product called Quercetin
https://ucpps.men/Farr ... al-offers/
that has the right dose of Quercetin but without the Saw Palmetto. Strangely enough they market it to people with BPH. I thought Saw Palmetto was the main ingredient to combat this?
Seems like a good supplement though.
Do Quercetin suppliers have a distribution network in Europe?

Hey Benzo,
I took the BP-Q for a few months and I thought it was helpful... I also liked that it did not contain saw palmetto as well...

I encourage anxiety prone UCPPS people to consider L-Theanine
Age, 44 onset age 37 Feb 2006 Freq. need to urinate. Sensation of having to urinate soon after going. Perineum discomfort/burning/tightness, pubic area discomfort @ times, poor urine stream, post urine dripping/spray. All symptoms have improved with my protocol. At the worst I give it a 1 to 2 on irritation and discomfort and frequency. Helps: Elavil 5mg for anxiety and mast cell protection, (will only take it as needed) self internal PT as needed, stretching, walking, stairmaster cardio workout and light weights, reducing stress, moment to moment relaxation, deep breathing relaxation and using a Theracane. Makes worse: sitting for long periods, stress, over focusing on it. Currently 95%-98% recovered. Stay positive, relaxed and control your anxiety.
