Anyoneever had THE SCOPE?

Post by fastu..guest »

My "Prostatitis" has been with me for almost six months.

Quick symptoms.. Ocassional testicular contraction after BM
burning after urinating....occasional pain after ejac

general soarness in pubic bone....feeling the need to pee a lot [all symptoms on ONE side only}

been to Uros and all...did the Cipro thing....doc sees white blood cells after milking the thing.....

now he wants to step it up a bit and do a scope. Has ANYONE here ever got that done? I need to hear from you....

thanx

cystoscope

Post by robert pagen »

In my desperation I had consented to cystoscopes twice. They brought no useful information, and I was sore for over one month after each one. Doctors love to give them because they get to bill 500$ for them and they feel like they are doing something. They are totally unneccesary.

try neurontin

Post by johna »

I have had neurontin which helped me with the pain, still on it and very helpful. I had a cystoscopy which proved normal except it found my bladder neck was tight...Had a videourodynamics test next to find a bladder problem that I fixed with self catheterization. So in the big picture, I made it through the scope plus a lot more...you would be surprised what you can handle.

Could you please elaborate on this? What was the diagnosis? How long did you perform CISC?
This is not medical advice. Please consult your physician.

Warning: This is very painful and if your doc. will not provide pain meds for afterwards, my advice is to decline.

scope

Post by daz »

had pros massage and he scope yesterday both at the same time. only thought tha I was having the p/assage but after reading stuff about the scope I was glad I was having it and also only at the last minute that I was having scope. talking to a bloke in the hospital that had just got over pros cancer he said it can tell them a lot if there are problems. in other ords rules out a lot and lets them concentrate on other stuff. got to say though very painfull at the moment. peeing blood does nothing for a blokes self confedence and in fair bit of pain. I have been told though to keep drinking the water and going pee as not nice if clots. if the pain I'm getting at the mo either tellsthem there is a problem or rules a few out I've got to say well worth it though. good luck
