effect of pf?

Post by Maz »

Was wondering if my pf is in spasm and I am more contracted than normal would this produce reflux of urine into the prostate itself? ie muscles putting pressure on prostate which in turn increases pressure on the urethra narrowing the gap when I pass water :?:
lots of problems here after years of trouble including prem ejac, erection problems, yellow semen, excessive prostatic fluid discharge, lack of ejaculate, pain all round, throbbing prostate, pain on urination + not emptying, cloudy urine sometimes + all the secondary shit that goes with it ie fatigue, fevers, anxiety, depression etc
craig (38) any ideas welcomed

Reflux of urine into the prostate was what started my chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome 14 months ago. Prior to that I'd had reflux episodes about once a year for around 8 years. Previously I would get burning, frequency symptoms for around 2-3 hours before it subsided and disappeared. The last time it didn't disappear.

For me all the episodes happened when I passed urine after sex.

btw - I'd certainly recommend you get your pevlic floor assessed and started to get some PT.

Richard.

I'd certainly recommend the book, it was a revelation for me.

Finding a physio that does PFT will be tricky, as there's very few out there. The treatment I get in Edinburgh costs £30 a session (usually last 1-1.5 hrs, which I recon is about the norm.

Def by the book and also try some relaxation techniques (you can get some good CD's from Amazon).
