Hello! I had unprotected intercourse with a woman over 4 years ago who was not my normal partner. At the same time, I had unprotected anal sex with my partner. When I had the intercourse, I had the most intense erection I have ever had and felt some discomfort between my testicles and anus. Within 2 weeks of these acts I started with my symptoms, painful urination, discomfort in my penis, especially the tip. I was tested for STD's and found to be negative. I was put on several antibiotics for STD's and then on another one that was an inflamitory used for urinary infections. I was on the last one for about 1 year. I never did experience much releif. I now go through periods where I have no discomfort at all and some where I have a lot of discomfort especially near the tip of my penis and the area between my testicles and my anus. Since I never had any problems before, I feel that one of the sex acts must have caused my problems. Does anyone have any thoughts? Also, any ideas on how to make the discomfort go away?

It's usually a mistake, but understandable, to attempt to link pelvic pain to a particular partner or sexual activity. Chronic pelvic pain is a more complex problem. Even if the initiating event was related to something you did 4 years ago, other factors are now maintaining the pain cycle. Therefore look to the future, and investigate ways of overcoming the pain.
Good News! The great ProstaQ is BACK at last! You must try it.

Most of us here would recommend the Stanford/Wise-Anderson Protocol and quercetin. There are some other ideas around here too. See also ucpps.men
