I have been taking Quercetin (sp?) for about a week and a half now. Should I have started noticing and improvement just yet? Most things I have read it says it can up to a mth to notice symptoms lessening.
Also hope this won't offend...
Has anyone considered (or tried) using a small vibrator in the anus?
Would that help in relaxing the muscles (etc)?
Quercetin, vibrator

Re: Quercetin, vibrator
For some people it can take up to 2-3 months before seeing a difference with Quercetin and for 20% of men it makes no difference at all (I'm one of the 20% unfortunately).1 of the many wrote:I have been taking Quercetin (sp?) for about a week and a half now. With regards to the vibrator. I bought one last month to try out after discussing it with my physio. I was looking to use it not for relaxing the muscles as such, but to treat triggerpoints (though my physio was wondering if the frequency of movement might help). I'm pretty triggerpoint free internally just now, so it wasn't needed, but I'll probably try it again if I find any internal triggerpoints.
Richard.

I really cannot see how this would possibly help, other than by providing short term releif. You need to see a physiotherapist who is trained in pelvic floor myofascial release, who can locate and find all internal trigger points, and also advise you on pelvic floor relaxation/rehabilitation protocols.1 of the many wrote:Has anyone considered (or tried) using a small vibrator in the anus?

Age:39. Age at onset:31. Symptoms prior to treatment: Golf ball in rectum, severe urinary frequency (2-3x/hr; 5-10x/night); weak stream; painful ejaculation; coccygeal pain; tip of penis pain; general pelvic pain on left; testicular pain; supra-pubic pain. Current | Symptoms: Urinary frequency 1x every 2-3 hrs and 1-2 x a night; mild pelvic pain on left hand side (all symptoms still improving!)
Helped by: Trigger point release; avoiding exercise; pelvic floor relaxation; Neurontin decreased bladder sensitivity somewhat. Worsened by: Exercise; frequent ejaculation; ibuprofen irritates bladder. Made no difference: Diet; biofeedback; quercetin; Steroid anti-inflammatories; Elavil.
****UPDATE*** I am now able to sit again at work all day, and can perform moderate aerobic exersise again for the first time in 8 years!!!
