Does anyone have this problem? I've chatted w/ other members, but they don't seem to have this problem as far as volume is concerned. I've noticed that for about four months, when I climax, very little comes out now, and prior to that, I always produced a pretty good amount of semen.
Any thoughts?

This could be a side effect from medication. Do you take any alpha-blockers, such as doxazosin (Cardura), terazosin (Hytrin), alfuzosin (Xatral), or tamsulosin (Flomax)?

Low ejaculate
No, I don't take any medications at all, and haven't for a while, so I wasn't sure if chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome could cause this or not.

interesting topic
I have not noticed a decrease in quantity with my experience, but I have noticed a reduction in..um...the distance it comes out. I think all men have a gradual reduction in both quantity and force as they age. Also, quantity is affected by the frequency of ejaculation, diet, and medications.

low output
In my case, I used to produce decent amounts and it would go far. Now, I can't do either.

Re: Low Amount of Ejaculate
That symptom has been reported numerous times over the years at smpp. It may be caused by congestion of the prostate gland or by pelvic muscle dysfunction.
This is not medical advice. Please consult your physician.

Yes, I think it's something along those lines. Like Darwin, I noticed that I stopped being to 'shoot' as far as I did before. This happened in my late twenties, with no accompanying pain symptoms. Then a few years back, I noticed my semen became a lot more watery than before, again with no concurrent pelvic pain.MastCells wrote:That symptom has been reported numerous times over the years at smpp. It may be caused by congestion of the prostate gland or by pelvic muscle dysfunction.
I've been wondering if these types of symptoms, as well as low semen output may be an 'early warning system' for CPPS. We don't know this because men who experience these symptoms alone wouldn't go to a doctor or post here.
But Thomas, since your pain symptoms are minimal, maybe you are at this 'early' stage. I'd strongly recommend maintaining your prostate health with supplements (see the cp site) & perhaps having a look-see into the pelvic muscle situation - although unfortunately we don't really know if anything can prevent CPPS.

one day...
Hey thomas, About 1 month into my cp I expirienced this... it got so bad that I was only squezing out a couple of drops. Thats when my symptoms were at there worst
Is your libido in the toilet as well? I got relief from an herbal supplement, that contained argenine, yohimbe, maca, ect.. It helped both of these problems pretty quick. This is something that does not help everyone.... I believe testosterone plays a role in this, Do you masterbate a lot? sounds wierd, I know, but thats what I was doing right as cp came on me. Sexuall frequency IMHO is a key role in treating CPPS... weather it be to much, or to little.. you will have to just feel that situation out and see what works best. I also found that light kegal's will help with the projection. But again, kegals are a controversial topic on this forum as well. I find that they can help at times... other times relaxing these muscles is what I need. Its very confusing, and again is something you will just have to feel out. hope this help's
