Yeast Infections and Prostatitis

Post by DMB17 »

I believe that I have a minor yeast infection, as I will visit my uro in a few days to verify, and was wondering if this has anything to do with prostatitis. Is it possible for the prostate to be infected with yeast and not bacteria? Are yeast infections and prostatitis connected in anyway? If so has anybody been in a similar situation where they have taken antifungal medication, which helped with their prostatitis symptoms? Thanks.

Yes, but very rare, as in AIDS cases etc
