Quercetin and Prevacid (Proton Pump inhibitors)

Hi all.. I'm new here.. I have recently been diagnosed with CP.. I want to try Quercetin , but am also on Prevacid (for gastrointestinal problems).. Is anyone else here in the same situation? Is it ok to be on both pills?

I am also taking Prevacid since I destroyed my stomach taking huge doses of ibuprofen for months. I have taken quercetin with prevacid, without known complications; however, it would be best to look at the medical info./drug interractions for Prevacid to be certain. I am not a Dr. and cannot give medical advise.

Let me know what you find. I will look also.

Hi--I also take Prevacid and am thinking about a regimen of Quercetin. Has there been any answer to the interaction of these two?

I take omeprozole, which is a proton pump inhibitor like lansoprazole (Prevacid). I take it occasionally for minor acid reflux problems and have never had problems taking quercetin concurrently. Shouldn't be a problem with Prevacid either.

I too take omeprozole which is the generic for Prilosec. I've never experienced a problem taking it in combination with quercetin.

I agree with alphacentauri that prevacid shouldn't be any problem, as it is similar to prilosec. Of course, you should still check with your physician for any medical advice.

Thx for your input. Ill be sure to contact my doc, but its good to hear first hand accounts. Frankly, my doc prob thinks Quercetin is some kind of window cleaner.
