An awkward question - dating

Post by Guest »

Okay guys. I'm going out on a limb right here and I apologize in advance if this offends anyone. The single gals with IC have asked me if I could start some type of introduction/dating service with... guys who have similar problems. Why??? Because it wouldn't require an explanation as to why long car rides might be uncomfortable or why an aisle seat at a movie is important. Who could be more understanding than someone who has been there. Right?? Right!

So, is there any interest at all in trying to hook up guys with prostatitis... with gals with IC??

I'm single, my fiance bailed on me after my diagnosis. He was a cop and didn't understand it. I've often thought that I'd love to date someone with a similar problem. So, I thought I'd ask the question...

I'm taken  but I know a lot of guys aren't and would welcome an understanding female companion. My wife has been an absolute pillar of strength through this and my other health problems.

True love conquers little things like pelvic pain.

Great idea :-D

I'd hate to have gone through this by myself and even having an email/correspondence relationship would give a lot of guys support.

Jill

I'm sorry that your fiance bailed on you but I'm curious as to why you point out that he was a cop. Was his occupation somehow relevant?

Yes, I noticed that too. Policemen are not usually the most intellectual and empathetic people in society. Jill, with a MA degree herself, was mismatched perhaps?

Jill-- I too would be interested in such a "matching" service. It is very difficult to explain to a woman -- let alone meet one -- and explain all thr pelvic baggage.

Not always! :firing:

I lost my job because of chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome (had to retire on disability).

If I were single, I'd jump all over this. It's a great idea. Where are all the single guys? I thought there would be many more responses. :?:

Well guys. You made my day! Thank you for your supportive responses. I don't know why wrote that he was a cop actually. Weird... and yes it was a mismatch but that just took some time to see.

I'll see if I can find some software to do this easily! I think this could be fun!

Yes Jill what a great idea . Its hard enough discussing this stuff with people you know let alone in the dating world . One Lady posted a web site on here for people with medical problems like ours but they chose to give up sex altogether . Heres her link . http://www.medicalcelibatesnetwork.com/sys-tmpl/door/
