Squatting

Post by jon108 »

This link https://ucpps.men/pudendal-nerve-entrapment-pne
contains the quote, "Stretching of the pudendal nerve from chronic constipation causes neuropathy." It includes a reference to another study about cyclists, which also refers to this fact about pudendal nerve entrapment.

Now, the question arises, why is our society so consitpated? And why does the western world have such a high incidence of pelvic floor problems? And why are prostate disorders virturally inevitable for older men in the West, but virtually unknown among the native peoples of Asia and Africa (until they emigrate)?

The answer to all these questions, I believe, is that we use an unnatural posture for bowel evacuation. The rest of the world uses the squatting posture, pictured here:

On a conventional toilet seat, the pelvic floor is pushed downwards repeatedly. This stretches the pudendal nerve and over time, can lead to prostate and bladder problems and chronic pain. There is a website http://naturesplatform.com which explains this theory in great detail. It also discusses many other diseases that have baffled modern medicine, and could be related to our bizarre habit of sitting on toilet seats.

It's worth looking into.

Jonathan, are you promoting this website, i.e commision or is this a genuine post for relief of CPPS?

Dear Jamo,

For the past 5 years I've been trying to alert the world to this very important physiological fact. I am genuinely convinced that sitting toilets are responsible for the high incidence of chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome and many other terrible diseases that don't arise among squatting populations.

I invented Nature's Platform as a vehicle to allow me to discuss this heretofore "taboo" subject. I've made no money from the project so far, but have had about 330,000 visitors to the website. I hope to make a profit eventually, because the success of this venture will make squatting well-known and well-accepted -- and relieve a lot of suffering.

Your question is understandable, but the word "or" is misleading. I am promoting the site, AND genuinely want to help eradicate CPPS.

I have no problem with what Jonathan is doing. His product and message are long overdue.

I totaly agree with what your saying webslave, chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome needs to be tackled from every angle. My only precaution is that the product is not sold as , 'a reductionist view in treating CPPS' 'the cure to CPPS' as I pointed out in a reply in general discussion forum. It is one of many approaches needed in tackling this condition.

There is a reason for different BM postures in different cultures. Many Asian diets include foods prepared in a way that pass quickly through the system - or at least pass quickly out of the system. For those cultures squatting naturally evolved as the best way to evacuate.

Traditional Western diets, laden with fats or other heavy ingredients, were harder to evacuate, they took a bit more time & a toilet seat became preferable to squatting. So, there's nothing unnatural about sitting on a toilet - both methods evolved with their respective cultures.

Thanks.

Of course, squatting may be a better way to evacuate all the same. But before anyone starts climbing on their toilets, they should take a good look at what they're eating
