Hello,
So my story starts about 10 months ago last year after having a random hookup with an old acquaintance. A day or so later I got pain in my penis head and noticed a milky discharge. I went and got an STD test that came back for Gonorrhea. This wasn't the first time but the last time was over 10 years ago. I was prescribed doxycycline which took care of the discharge and lowered the penis head pain from a 9 to a 6. Since then I've take multiple STD afterwards which all came back negative. I've also went to a uro who did a cystoscopy and he noticed the bladder neck was swollen a little larger than normal but everything else was fine. Said to let it go it's course and come back in a year if nothing changed. Since then I have been doing my own research and trying different things. I did homeopathic pills and extracts that lowered it to about a 4 and basically changed the pain from moving back and forth from my testicles to the penis head to just constantly being in my penis head. When I urinate the pain level doesn't change like how it did when I was infected, just the same dull pain, which may go down to a 3 once done urinating but back to a 4 once the bladder starts to fill up again. I've also noticed what seems to be a lot of mucus in my urine if I urinate in a cup and examine it.
My whole life I've had to deal with frequent urination especially if I drink alcohol or water. I'm also a truck driver who spends a lot of time in a bouncing seat which I feel does not help. I also have a chronic masturbation issue since I was a child that I feel probably doesn't help. I don't feel any pain if I ejaculate, have no problems with erections, and urine stream hasn't changed a bit. The only time I don't feel any pain is right after sex for a few minutes or sometimes the few minutes after I wake up. Also when I'm out the truck working securing my load I don't feel anything at all till I get back in the truck and start driving again.
Since stumbling upon this forum I have just started taking any accredited quercetin product which I feel has made a little difference but to early to tell. This morning I actually woke up feeling absolutely no pain which does happen some days but as my brain wakes up so does the pain. I've also been trying different stretches these last few days which would transfer the pain from my penis head to my pelvis on both sides. I've read a few stories that said stretches made symptoms worse when they first started but they move the pain for me. Hopefully that's a good thing. Also the first time I was able to stop the pain in penis head was when I was sitting and decided to press around my pelvic area. I pressed at the base of the shaft and immediately felt a sharp pain that went away and caused me to feel nauseous but also caused the pain in penis head to stop for a few minutes. It seems to me that the sharp pain was connected to the bladder neck that I seen on the cystoscopy but I'm not a doctor so I'm not sure. I've also started taking magnesium and a acid reducer. All of that started this week so who knows if it helps.
Hopefully I can make some progress with stretching as everything does feel tight down there but if anyone has anything to add that may help, I'm open ears.
Thanks

Re: Trying to diagnose
Well, you're a poster boy for CPPS, with lots of typical behaviors.

- Sitting a lot, sometimes with tension (truck drivers are a classic group) ✔
- Too much masturbation ✔
- History of frequent urination provoked by irritants like alcohol ✔ (see our thread viewtopic.php?t=7741 )
- Triggering event (infection) ✔
Good News! The great ProstaQ is BACK at last! You must try it.

Appreciate the response. I’ve only been taking the any accredited quercetin product and stretching for 3 days but I definitely can feel a difference. The pain has gone down to about a 1-2 and has moved to the pelvic bone area from stretching. If it starts to move back into the penis area, I’ll do a quick little stretch and it moves away again. I’ve been able to urinate a few times without feeling anything lately as well. Hopefully I can solve my issue with more stretching though.

Re: Trying to diagnose
So I also wanted to add, after reading a little on the forum, that back when this all started and I was getting very bad levels of pain constantly the one thing that pretty much got rid of it for a hour or two was the fact I’d be out bbqin. Is there any correlation with breathing in the smoke from wood burning and soothing the condition?
Admin comment: No, but the heat of the BBQ could be giving you the same muscle-relaxing effect as a sauna. See viewtopic.php?f=37&t=8912

Re: Trying to diagnose
Well just wanted to add a little update here. Still taking . Any accredited quercetin product on month 2. Added magnesium which I can’t say if it did any justice. Started taking fish oil supplements 4 days ago and 2 days ago the pain in the head of my penis disappeared and started turning into aches that bounced around my lower stomach, pelvis, and back hamstring area. I’ve gone a whole 2 days though without any pain in the area of my urethra opening though which has been where the pain was for this last year.

Another update: switched to taking Q-Urol and Rick Simpson Oil, which is a marijuana product. If it’s available in your state and you don’t mind weed I would really recommend trying it. RSO took the pain down another level. I’m starting to go through days without even noticing it until it’s time to urinate and I get a little pain but nothing compared to when this first started happening.

Re: Trying to diagnose
Rick Simpson Oil is interesting. From WebMD:
Unlike many other cannabis oils, Rick Simpson Oil is high in tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which is the main psychoactive chemical in marijuana. THC is the chemical in marijuana that provides the "high."
Online reports say Simpson is a Canadian engineer and cannabis activist. After a bad fall, he found that marijuana helped lessen his dizziness and other symptoms. Later, when he developed basal cell skin cancers on his arm, Simpson used cannabis oil as a treatment. As the reports go, his skin cancers went away.
RSO is an oil made by washing cannabis buds with a solvent, such as pure light naphtha, and then boiling off the solvent leaving behind the oil.
RSO is not a branded product. That means there's no one "Rick Simpson Oil" for sale. On his website, Simpson explains how to make his namesake oil. But he does not sell a version of the oil for profit

Re: Trying to diagnose
Yes, it may just have to do with the fact that it naturally helps relax the body which in turns helps relax the pelvic area or the anti-inflammatory properties may actually benefit. I noticed a decrease in pain in the first week of use though so I can say it has helped me. I learned of it from another CPPS sufferer who said it has helped his pain as well.

Re: Trying to diagnose
Just another update:
My pain is pretty much gone. I can’t say I’m completely normal as I do masturbate which causes pain levels to go up slightly. Nothing uncontrollable though. It seems to me it’s a definite muscle soreness problem that needs to heal. The RSO did the most for me because it made my body relax a lot deeper than I could ever do myself. I had maybe a 5 or 6 on the pain level last week and that was after some pretty rough sex that ended with a very hard ejaculation. I could feel the pain right then and there and it lasted a few days.
I just wanted to add I saw an ad for nitric oxide which helps with heart health, decided to buy it on that reason but after doing some research, I saw it helps people with ED. It says nitric oxide can help relax the muscles in the penis and allow better blood flow. It’s main purpose is to help with blood flow and pressure but I figured it may help with CPPS. I just started taking it and my pain level isn’t high so who know if it will help me but maybe it can help someone else. Also says it’s good for muscle soreness so maybe it’s helpful. I have a 6 months supply so I’ll update later but just wanted to chime in.

Re: Trying to diagnose
So another update,
I started taking the nitric oxide tablets and in the beginning the pain shifted from being in the urethra to being a itching feeling in my inner thighs. Later on I started to notice actual bruising there and it felt like my blood veins were bulging out my skin. It made me think my underwear was too tight so I got rid of them all and got loose fitting underwear. The itching stayed for a few days and in the meantime I read about PEA on here so I ordered it and started taking that 2 weeks ago. Now my pain level is pretty much a 1 or a 0 unless I masturbate but then it only goes up to a 2 or 3 and quickly subsides.
One day I packed for a trip and put one of the tighter fitting underwear I had on and by the end of the day my pain was about a 5. As soon as I realized I was wearing the underwear I took it off and 15 minutes later I was down to a 1. This problem started for me around the time I started to put on weight which made my stomach and thighs bigger and I feel like the nitric oxide helped bring aware of the poor circulation going on down there. I’m pretty much back to my normal life before this started now and I feel my blood circulation had something to do with it.
I'm going to focus on loosing this weight as well and see what difference that makes but I’m glad this problem is starting to become under control.

Re: Trying to diagnose
Another update:
I’ve noticed that I’ve stopped having prostate secretions. I think my condition has stopped being chronic and is more acute. My pain levels are unnoticeable for most of the day and truly only flare when I have a masturbation session. That usually subsides in a few hours though now which is pretty much what I was dealing with before it became chronic and pain levels sky rocketed.
I’m still taking my nitric oxide supplements and have added some cholesterol management supplements as well as from what I’ve been told has always been high since I was a child. My weight is still pretty much the same right now as my diet has not changed In the slightest. Hopefully I’ll be able to work on that sooner than later.
Hopefully someone can test my theory of nitric oxide helping besides me. Who knows I’m just glad this is starting to be put to rest.
