Graminex

Hello. I am sorry if this has been asked before, but does Graminex have gluten in it.

After taking it I actually have quite a bit of stomach distress and flatulence and I am gluten-sensitive. However it is done a remarkable job at reducing The Chronic pelvic pain.

Any suggestions?

I did not see gluten listed. Many people are sensitive to pollen extracts though.

What are typical symptoms of pollen extract allergies.

Stands to reason something as allergenic as pollen will cause problems for some people if ingested.

The recommended daily dose of rye pollen is 80–120 mg extract taken in two or three divided doses. Rye grass pollen is well tolerated. Adverse events are rare and mild, only rare gastrointestinal symptoms or allergic skin reactions have been reported

Perhaps try taking an antihistamine like Vistaril at the same time?

My only symptom is mild abdominal pain. I can live with that as it seems to have knocked out the CPPS pain by 75%

Other accredited quercetin products also contains pollen extract, BTW. Check bottles

Yes I am aware of that, but it's hard to tell how much of the active ingredient is in there. Graminex has 500 mg of rye pollen extract and 63 mg of active ingredient per dose, but I can't decipher these numbers for Quercetin. The Graminex product is carbon copy of Cernitol out of Sweden, which is the first line treatment for BPH in Europe and is very successful for chronic pelvic pain. Cernitol I has many successful trials for chronic pelvic pain, but you can't get it in the US.

I think one of the reasons why most accredited quercetin products are not loaded with pollen extract is because there were some complaints along the same lines as yours about the ingredient. It's still there, but in a low enough amount so as not to cause gastrointestinal symptoms.

Thanks. I am taking ½ the recommended dose and am even going to put them into enteric-coated capsules to avoid the stomach all together
