Erections

Post by HateCPPS »

Does anyone else on here have to flex their pelvic floor, or the muscles used to try to ejaculate, constantly to maintain an erection?

I find that unless I'm doing a pelvic thrust, like I want to ejaculate now, I can't really even keep much of an erection. If I hold that thrust I can keep it maybe 80% but I can never get 100% or even close to like before this illiness started. I am young, 25, so I obviously should not have these problems.I am over 4 years into this illness and when it first started I could keep a better erection by holding that flex but then my pain and trigger points were worse also with that.

Now I don't have sex, I do less flexing, and I have less trigger point pain, muscle pain, etc. but erections are hopeless and sex is basically impossible.

Not really looking for advise on treatments at this point just wondering if there is a lot of people in this boat of having to do a constant squeeze to try to keep it up.
Age: 25 | Onset Age: 21 | Symptoms: Pain in perineum area, bad ED, slower stream, loss of libido, | Helped By: Uroxatral, Heavy Doses of NSAIDs, Really Hot Baths/Sauna | Worsened By: Sex, Masturbation, Spicy Foods, biking, certain exercises, sudafed| Other comments: Mine started in a time after copious amounts of sex, I also held in ejaculation for a long long time after a sex break which may have contributed. Also went from protected to unprotected sex around this same time, but all tests show no bacteria. I do not have urgency issues.

From what I've read around the Net from others, it seem that erection problems can be common with this condition.

Your symptoms is like mine, it seems low libido and ED is because of pelvis nervous arousal due to chronic anxiety and related tension, you may follow the relaxation method, specifically paradoxical relaxation and Wise Anderson Protocol to alleviate the pain and sexuall symptoms.
I have not seen any pill or supplement to solve the problem basically up to now.

So I did get a testosterone test just to see what's going on with my levels and kinda see if that was something aiding to my problem. My level came back at 550, which is in the range. It's not the most stout number for my age (I do lift and am in good shape as well) but not terrible.

Still 5 years strong of not being able to have proper erection. Basically can't have enjoyable sex. I'm about to start 3 new supplements, horny goat weed, magnesium glycinate, and general prostate health supplement (which has quercetin, saw palmetto, broccoli extract and some others).

My muscles are definitely tight and even after internal work and loosening them they just go back to tight eventually. Can't seem to snap out of this. I think I need to quit my job and lay out on a beach for a year maybe then it'll go away.

I think that most of us do fight with some portion of ED. At least erection is not the same as it once was. Multitude of reasons is behind, but I would tend to agree that anxiety related factors are dominating. This is always a kind of unpredictable thing, there are many days when I completely don't have spontaneous nocturnal erections at all and then they came back with vengeance...I see in your signature that you have issues of pelvic tensions based upon clenching and edging (I have several issues), maybe there is a key...our puboccocygeus muscle is heavily overload and dysfuctioning (plus several other additional factors). I am in the same boat...

Random question here:

I almost never wake up with any kind of erection. But noticed some mornings after drinking several beers the night before I wake up with about 50% erection. What gives? Are my muscles more relaxed after alcohol? My pain is actually worse these mornings after alcohol the night before..

IDK but since this happened I went from borderline ED to erections coming and going more often than not most nights. Of course if I use it, I'm going to be sorry afterwards from the pain. And its not like it isn't painful when I'm not using it. I never thought I'd see the day when they weren't welcomed in my life. Yay! NOT!!!
Age: 52 | Onset Age:49 (but I may have had warning signs 25 yrs earlier)| Symptoms: Pretty much all the usual suspects. Frequency, urgency, inability to always empty, burning and numbing uretheral, penile & perineum pain. Frequent urination at night.| Helped By: Internal PT. Myrbetriq helps but is by no means great. TENS to help sleep, and hand held massages of the lower back, hips and buttocks. Standing and physical labor help. Stretches and hot baths. Occasionally use gel iced pad on the perineum. Worsened By: Sitting (being sedentary), driving, sex, bowel movements, tight clothing and underwear. | Other comments: Currently trying L-Theanine

@HateCPPS have you ever actually tried trigger point therapy etc?
Age: | Onset Age: 25 - (two weeks and counting) | Symptoms: ED- cannot get self stimulated erections. Morning erections still occur 85% but I can hardly feel them. Slight burning whilst and after urinating. Numb Urethra. Muscle spasms around anus (not painful). Change in semen texture , semen loss of smell. | Helped By: Symptoms seem to come and go all by themselves. Lots of sleep and copious amounts of water seem to help | Worsened By: Sitting and probably worrying | Other comments: Currently taking 2 x 500mg Cipro not noticing any effects. Prostate not inflamed according to urologist. urinalysis - no bacteria found -
