Behind the prostate is muscles as well, it’s hard to get to unless you have a therapist. I tried to press the prostate and it gave me a fullness sensation that I hadn’t to pee and also burning . I didn’t like the feeling at all so I don’t press there.

One last question.. Is it possible to hit a trigger in that area externally?

No, but there are external trigger points in some men that they say were key to their recoveries, so don't ignore the external

I'm just a novice at this, but I would say those externals Webslave speaks of were in the book Headache in the Pelvis if I recall?! Got my copy today, but haven't had time to delve into it. I'm assuming that's where to find them?

I think I got to close to the prostate tonight. Its feeling a bit angry afterwards. Perhaps more than a bit, unless I stand. Beginners mistake.

How are you doing it? Standing up with your leg raised or lying down? I usually lie down on my left side and use my hand which gives me full access along with strength to hold them.

Laying on my left to do everything before 6.
Laying on my right to do everything after 6.
@ 1 and 11 my hands between my legs. Everything else is easier over my legs at the hip. I can't seem to do it comfortably sitting with my knees pulled up. Laying down is more comfortable for allowing me to breathe correctly. I figured I would lay down like when I am at therapy. The only difference is that she would use a pillow between my legs.

I don't know why, but I am at a real low in the past few days that has gotten progressively worse. Right now, its as bad as the first three days that I've had this. That 3rd day I ended up in the ER, was catheterized believing my bladder was not emptying, which was only me panicking in reality. That first and only experience with a catheter was one of the worst days of my life. The bladder spasms were so bad, they had to take it out. And its not like a lot of urine filled the bag while there or immediately after getting the catheter.

Here I am, sitting at work, with another 9 Hrs to go, and I'm freaking out because the urge is so bad, and nothing is happening but insignificant dribble. The longer this goes on, the more tense and anxious I am getting. I have been thru this before, and I know its all in my head, but the more I try to make myself urinate, the worse its starting to feel. I just wish I could wrap my head around the fact that my bladder is probably not full. I keep trying to breathe and ride this out, but instead its just getting worse. I wish somebody could convince me that I'm okay, because I sure don't believe it myself. I had 2 great days last week after using the Therawand, but it's been downhill ever since. I'm this close to having a meltdown.... The urge is that bad!! Wtf!! I've also been closing myself off to my wife and daughter at home. I think I am scaring them. I'll admit I'm a bit scared myself at the moment. Not sure I'm going to make this day at work.

Google "urge incontinence" and tell us if you think that fits.

Webslave - the problem is that I have no idea what I have. I fell in the cracks where they threw everything in the book at me. Do I have OAB? Sure maybe. That's one of the things they said are possible. I've done all the drugs for that and settled on Myrbetriq, but I've said before. I'm not sure if that helps either. It was the best of all of them. I don't leak urine or have a hard time holding it. I know all the stereotypical things associated with it. I've had 2 cystoscopies and other tests. So no stones or bladder cancer that I know of. No obstructions were seen or strictures. I know of no strokes or neurological issues although I have the 3 herniated discs at L4 thru S1. I was told thats not the problem. Had a brain MRI so nothing leaning toward MS or Parkinson's because I consulted a neurologist when this all went down 3 years ago. So I am at a loss what to believe. There has been a lot of money spent on me, and at the end of the day, the determination has been chronic pelvic pain with urge and or OAB. I've done therapy that even covers OAB, and nothing has helped. So all I have been left to believe, is that the urge is being caused by the anxiety associated with the pelvic pain issues. So what else am I to believe? If there were stones, would there not be excruciating pain involved? I recently saw my PCP, and because I use Prelief and pound myself with NSAIDS like Ibuprofen that are rough on the Kidneys, I did complain of pain around the Kidneys. He said the pain was too low to be the Kidneys or stones and quite possibly be pain associated with the pelvic pain. Trust me when I tell you, there hasn't been a stone yet unturned. I have gotten nowhere. So I believe in my heart, that the urinary issues are all related to whatever is going on with the pelvic pain.

Sorry for the lack of paragraphs.

For the record... Everything and anything is possible that I may have. But I have seen specialists of every type to nail down what's going on. I've tried very hard. These doctors think I'm nuts and that I am doing this to myself. And in some ways I am, because I am letting the unknown get to me plus I have led a very stressful life. Early on I made 4 trips to the ER because of it. I've had CT scans and Ultrasounds too. Nothing conclusive. I know why I have gotten this way this week. I can feel the tension. I'm all wound up and don't know why. But this is getting old. Nothing has changed in 3 yrs.

Extreme urge is very unusual in our patient group. That's why I think you have multiple things going on. But yes, I suspect you are right when you point to the high stress and anxiety in your life as the probable precipitating factor that started the whole cascade of symptoms. So perhaps treating that, and not the pelvic symptoms, is the way to go (i.e. psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral)

Webslave - Know this. I get everything your saying. What really frustrates me, is that in October it will have been 3 yrs. And even though I have technically seen 4 urologist for treatment, not a single one will come straight out and tell me what exactly I got. All the terminology has been thrown at me, as if they are throwing darts at a board and I have whatever it lands on that day. I have a scheduled appt. with my urologist Mon. made 4 mo ago. I reached out to them today and told them I'm miserable, and what can they give me to take to relax me until Mon. I was told if I have problems, go to the ER. I've been there and done that 4 times previously. What came out of those visits? A huge bill. I waited 3 hrs to be seen. Got jerked around for at least another 4 hrs more, only to be released and told there was nothing they could do for me. So I told the nurse today - why would I waste my time in the ER a 5th time?

What I do know, is that I have CPPS for sure. Whatever else I have or don't have they have yet to give me a definite answer, because quite honestly they must not know. But after 3 yrs of suffering and all the tests, you think they would have told me something by now. Wouldn't you think? But one thing I am sure about, is that I have experienced just about everything CPPS has to throw at men. Whatever symptoms exist, I've either had them before or still deal with them today. All I know is that I was fine one day, and 24 hrs later this all happened all at once. And I have been battling doctors ever since. This whole experience is wearing me out no matter how optimistic I try to be. I'm actually losing friendships over this, even solid ones. I would like nothing more then to know what else might be going on besides CPPS If indeed there are any at all. What I fear most, is the effect it is having on my job. My wife has had my back 100% even though she is taking the beating right along with me. After working 26 hrs within a 35 hr window leading up to this morning, I walked out of work just shy of my usual shift this morning and just went home. I told my coworkers, I can't do these long ass shifts anymore. I'm chasing money just to pay for this stuff, but its a vicious cycle that is probably not helping my situation. I'm chasing my tail.

Sorry for the long comments today. Thanks for listening.

But then what about what Amonges had said? He said he experienced urge with this too.So the feeling is there even if I don't have to go. Which led me to believe the feeling of urge was always the result of something else affecting the sensation around my bladder or the same nerves. Idk! I'm totally more confused then I was a week ago. And I know when I see the Dr. Monday, I'll leave even more confused and more miserable.
