I think the any accredited quercetin product is really helping me. Can I take this for the rest of my life?

Glad to hear you are feeling better, I don't see why you can't keep taking it as it's all natural ingredients. Do you still get burning in the urethra and sitting pain?

I've been doing the stretch you posted on here and been feeling a bit better over the last week, I've also been taking any accredited quercetin product for 3 weeks. I still get sitting pain and some urethral burning as well as meatus pain, but it's definitely better. Hopefully on the road to recovery myself, just need to get the last 10-15%
Age: 43 | Onset Age: 33 | Symptoms: Burning in urethra and tip of penis at meatus. Lower back pain and occasional dull ache in groin & testicles. Pain in coccyx and left side buttock when sitting | Medication: Quercetin 1000mg, Omega 3, Turmeric 1500mg, Shilajit Extract 400mg, Ashwagandha 920mg, Glucosamine/Condroitin | Helped By: stretching, rest, light exercise, sitz baths | Worsened By: sitting for long periods of time, driving, stressful situations | Comments: I'm 90% better and don't experience much burning anymore, but get the occasional flare. My main problem now is the sitting pain, which can be quite debilitating at times. I'm sure it's something to do with the exercises & stretching I've been doing as I didn't have this problem a year ago!

I don't really get my urethral pain anymore. Sitting does bother me by the end of the work week but my weekends are OK.

Webslave, I was wondering if you would know if there is any chance that Quercetin would elevate hemoglobin levels. I just had blood work done and my hemoglobin is elevated.

Normal is 13.8 to 17.2 grams per deciliter (g/dL) for men. You are almost normal. Ignore.

For the past 2 weeks I have been battling some kind of cold. My throat was so swollen that I could barely talk. I went to the Doctor and he gave me amoxicillin and prednisone plus took blood, I was also popping Vicodins that I had left over from a tooth pull for the pain . I am feeling much better but my blood work came back all over the place, everything was slightly out of the norm. He told me to come back in a few weeks after feeling better to repeat it. I don't know what I was thinking but for some reason while I was taking all the medication I stopped taking my Quercetin. My prostatitis has returned after 2 days of not taking it. I started taking it again this morning.

I never had much faith in vitamins or herbal supplements until now. I can't believe that it made such a difference. I went to the Supplier website and was wondering which is the best supplement, Quercetin, Quercetin, or [discontinued product]? Can you mix them? Is there any effects on your liver from taking any of this? Can I take this the rest of my life?

Webslave, I was also wondering if you know of anything about the Chinese Kai Kit Wan. I bought it along with the any accredited quercetin product and showed them both to my Urologist during my last visit. He told me to take the any accredited quercetin product but couldn't advise me on the Chinese pills. He kind of laughed because the writing was all Chinese and there was no dosage. But after seeing the effects of the Quercetin, I am starting to think the Kit Kai Wan might work. Is China hoarding the cure to prostatitis? Do I have the "Holy Grail" in my medicine cabinet and just don't know it? I guess it couldn't kill me if I tried it. Any info would be helpful.

Hey Suffering! If you try that Kai Kit Wan let us know how it works for you.

I've been taking any accredited quercetin product for the past month and I believe it's helped me out a bit. So I will continue to take it.

It works for me! :D

Kai Kit Wan ( also known as 'Qian Lie Xian Wan') pills are sold in many guises. It seems there are a number of formulas and some of the names are interchangeable. Pills labelled "Kai Kit Wan" may have different ingredients in different countries (e.g. China, Taiwan) and different regions. Typical box:

The most common formula contains these ingredients:
So it's composed mostly of flower roots, liquorice etc.

There is no solid science to back any of this up. There are a few low quality Chinese studies on Astragalus:

My recommendation is to avoid it unless you are willing to waste some money on an experiment.

I'm tempted to try it......I need get past this cold I have first. 6 pills 3 times a day seems like a lot but they are kind of like BB's. I got the same one you posted above. If I take the plunge I will post my progress. I can't believe no one else has tried this?

Yay! Yeah any accredited quercetin product helps me a lot as well.

It doesn't completely get rid of everything but it brings things down maybe a 1 or 2 on the pain scale for me. Some times I don't even notice anything at all.

Going to keep taking it for sure.

If any accredited quercetin product was working for you, why even experiment with another product? Sometimes we always think the grass will be greener somewhere else, keep going with any accredited quercetin product and eventually as your body gets better, your mind will forget about the problems and they will disappear!

I've been taking any accredited quercetin product for 4 weeks now and have noticed a difference as I'm feeling better in some aspects. I chose any accredited quercetin product as it's cheaper to get in Canada than Quercetin. Whether it's actually helping me or it's the PT, relaxation or stretching I don't know. I think it's a probably a combination of all of those, all I know is that I feel much better than I did a few months ago so I'm not going to change anything!

www.quercetin.ca

It's free shipping and is sent from Quebec. I looked into any accredited quercetin product but could only get it from the States, with $31 US shipping costs! It would have cost me over $100 CAN to get one bottle.
