Success with ALA + Benfotiamine

Post by Avocado85 »

Hello,

I didn't know weather to post this here or the success section of the forum. Since my success has been accomplished through supplements, I felt it was necessary to post it here. If moderators feel the need to move it, please do so as I simply want to share my results.

OK, about my story. Like many of you, I have been a sufferer of CPPS for about 3 years now after initially being diagnosed with prostatitis. I found blood in my ejaculate and antibiotics cleared that up but I was still left with pressure/inflammation in my pelvis made worse by sitting. I have been through urologists and doctors and wasted a ton of money on medical bills to try all different kinds of medications and other supplements (Cipro, other antibiotics, Flomax, amitriptyline, saw palmetto, pygeum etc). I had considered getting an ultrasound done to rule out tumors or stones but I couldn't afford that (many of the urologist were certain my prostate was fine (age 30) and this was something I did believe in.) Amitriptyline would pass me out and I felt like a zombie all next day so I couldn't continue use. The suffering continued and having a sedentary lifestyle certainly didn't help me. I went back to researching other supplements and I realized something about my symptoms that I completely disregarded on my worst flares. One my symptoms was tingling at the opening of the penis. Now, any sort tingling usually indicates bacteria, but I had tried antibiotics, and I knew it was nonbacterial. That's when it hit me. It had to be neuropathic. I believe that the onset of prostatitis may have led to nerve/muscle damage in the pelvic region. I did some research on supplements for nerve repair and Alpha Lipoic Acid and Benfotiamine were at the top of the list (with some pretty good success stories at Amazon as well.) I swear, on my first dose, I felt relief and the tingling at the tip completely went away!! It lasted about 4 hours, and then retook the supplements and again, almost instantly, I felt relief. I am taking both ALA + Benfotiamine 3 times day and boy has it helped!! I recently added Quercetin to my daily intake for that extra kick. I can say I can now get back to the swing of things and my sex drive is back.

For the record, these supplements did nothing:

Saw Palmetto (helped with hair growth, that's about it)
Pygeum
Zinc
Marshmallow (more of a bladder irritation/antiacid treatment)

What works for me may not necessarily work for you. But, I knew there was a supplement out there that would help tremendously, and my 'trial and error' method paid off. I completely believe in the power of supplements. And I know many leading antiaging researches and scientists who take their daily "stack" of supplements for longevity and health.

 Best of luck to all!

Can anybody confirm that these supplements have an impact on the body? I'm interested to see if this will help heal.
