Male 36. Suffered for 10 years maybe. If I relax over time, my symptoms (pretty standard I would say) decrease, and I can spend days without pain. If I have sex or get aroused over time the symptoms return though. The underlying problem is still intact. I have located a string like structure, which elevates pain when touched. When I drank coffee for example, it got there. Is it a form of artery? I don't know. I have tried to locate TPs at the end of it, with no result so far. How do I go about this? Does antidepressants tighten the anal sphincter? Seems so to me..
There is no trained therapists in my country as far I can see. (Norway)
Is it a nerve or a trigger point?

Re: Is it a nerve or a trigger point?
There is someone in Holland, but she is no longer recommended by Dr Wise. Still, she may be able to help you....

But if you have the money, go to the Wise Anderson clinic.
At the very least, get Dr Wise's book

Do you no why she isn't recommended anymore? I got the book, but internal massage is complicated, its hard to know which part you are working and how they are going to react. Maybe its better to stay out of the hit and miss and just live as good as I can with it.

No, not sure why. Perhaps a philosophical disagreement?
Look into the costs of the Holland option. It may be worth exploring...

Did some research. I'm pretty sure its a nerve. Fits the location and form. No release on that part after internal massage. Does that change anything?

Re: Is it a nerve or a trigger point?
Trigger points are not located near where the pain is, a lot of the time.
