Hello all,
I have not been on this forum for a long time, my apologies. I thought I would come back and share what has helped me conquer my non bacterial prostatitis/CPPS. Feel free to read my previous posts about my journey, I will not bore you with that right now. But I will say that different urologists told me different things. Most of them told me I had prostatitis while one thought it was a seminal vesicle problem.
To cut to the chase, I tried everything from NSAIDS and herbs- physical therapy and Quercetin. I initially got relief from taking amitriptyline and Cardura at bedtime. Now I take 600-800 mg of magnesium malate and supplement with zinc. I have been pain free for almost 1.5 years now. If you do not know much about magnesium, I suggest you research this mineral especially its effects on muscles(relaxing ability), calcium and blood vessels.
Note: Be careful when taking supplements, finding balance is a fine line. Sometimes we do not need expensive supplements or miracle pills but just some basic essential minerals that lack in our modern diet.
Best wishes.
