My story. My problem

Post by serhio_bollox »

Hallo folks and happy birthday to me.

Today I am in Rome to see Guercini for the second time. And tomorrow is my birthday. I turn 36. What a birthday....

My story started in Oct 2013. I was on the road for 2 days driving a bus from Romania to Italy. It started with fever 39c, sickness, dizziness. I barely made it home and my father put me on IV antibiotics. I slowly recovered from this... but slower than usual. After 7 days I was decent.... and then all started. I had sex with my wife to who I am married for 12 years now and we dated 5 before. At that point a had premature ejaculation that happened 4 times in 5 tries. I was really scared. In the same time we had issues in our relationship. She cheated on me and I found out that a bit later. To continue, after the ejaculation problems I started to have big pains in the testicles, sort of a dull pain, large pain in the abdomen, supra pubic pain, back pain and urgency like 20-30 times a day. And the bladder was and still is painful. I never ever had nocturnal urination. Not even once. The urologist I went to found an E.coli infection and an enlarged prostate. Started 4-5 rounds of different abx. 10 days 14 days and 1 month of Cipro. Along I had tons of herbal teas recommended here for BPH. Anti-inflammatory treatments. A femoral hernia surgery in February 2014 which resolved some of my testicular pain on the right side but not the dull pain I had in both testicles.

I have seen tons of doctors... they look at me like I have something that they never heard of. It is frustrating to see top doctors in my town and to explain them about CPPS and other things... they know how to treat cancer... but about CPPS they are clueless.

In the year 2014 I tried all sorts of treatments : Quercetin, any accredited quercetin product that I got from someone in America. Herbal tea, broccoli protocol, Cernitol, vitamins. Antibiotics, antidepressants, pain killers... there was a time when I had 24 pills a day.... nothing changed... it all sort of diminished over time... the only time I had serious improvements were after 1 month of Cipro and after Cernitol. But that only took me at about 60% of where I have been before. I have E. coli, prostate is still enlarged and hard on the left side and there can be seen some calcification according to Guercini. Oh and some bladder neck stricture he said.

So my issues now are :
  1. random testicular pain,
  2. lack of erection unless I take 5 mg of Cialis,
  3. premature ejaculation,
  4. pain in my abdomen and bladder... that is one constant thing all over the day.
I still go through a rough time with my wife. There was one episode. I have seen some pictures of her with someone else. The shock was big and I felt a heat in my chest that went down to my groin... and all the pain was gone for 1 hour and 45 minutes. All was perfect. After that I felt like someone squeezed my bladder and it all came back. I do kinetic therapy for back pain and a disk hernia. Sorts of helps... I am off coffee again, I drink wine but it does nothing bad for me.... but I smoke. 1 pack and more a day. I am thinking of going to F-act Clinic in Holland.... but its a ton of money. Wise clinic is just a dream. Too far and too expensive...

Thank you and any advice..... will help.

For 1 year I do office job so its less driving for me. Sitting down makes it all worse for me. I feel a constant pressure in my bladder.. and I have the feeling something is stuck on the urinal tract or like muscles don't come back to their state of relaxation. Hard to explain.

Your condition is linked to the stress, anxiety and tension arising out of your marriage problems, in my opinion.

Guercini is someone I would avoid. He is the only doctor in the world who ascribes CPPS to prostate stones, and he finds "infections" in almost all of his patients (from the reports I have read).

I don't know of anyone who administers the Wise-Anderson protocol in the Romania area. Email Dr Wise and ask for the names of someone in Europe (he no longer endorses the F-Act clinic).

Hallo webslave

I did numerous tests at home in a few labs. They all show a e. coli infection since the beginning. I went today to see Guercini. He showed me some internal trigger points. When he applied pressure, I almost fainted. He proposed prostate and seminal vesicle injections for the infection. I will skip for now. Not enough courage to do them. And I am still confused about what shall I do.

He prescribed laroxyl (amitriptyline) and Xatral (alpha blocker) drops. I feel like they will do me some good but mess up my sex life which is already screwed. I really think I am walking a thin line...

Anyone had those? Side effects ?

If your tests, from different labs (important), all show an e.coli infection that has not been cured, then you have chronic bacterial prostatitis.

Amitriptyline (Elavil or Laroxyl) is a mast cell protector and muscle relaxant, and subdues nerve pain.

Xatral (alfuzosin), an alpha blocker, will relax the smooth muscle in the prostate without retrograde ejaculation (usually), so no effect on sex life.

Yes. The tests were done in at least 4 different labs. With the same result. It is the pain that is killing me ...and makes my life hell. Mentally and physically. Would the Wise A. Protocol help ? Quercetin or something else ? Or is it , because of the infection, a battle with the wrong weapons ?

Chronic bacterial prostatitis (CBP) is a different beast to what we deal with here. This is what it usually looks like
viewtopic.php?p=20222#p20222

The pain you have could mean you have both conditions, CBP and CPPS, simultaneously. Not impossible. However, unless you have exacerbations of the CBP, such as described in the post I link to in the paragraph above, then the continued use of antibiotics seems pointless. So the best way forward would be to tackle the CPPS.
The tests were done in at least 4 different labs
What tests, exactly? Were the tests ordered by different doctors, and did you see the printed results? I say this because your case does not sound like CBP to me. Some doctors will tell patients what they think the patient wants to hear, or what they think will make sense to the patient. Most doctors know very little about CPPS, especially in places like Romania, I'd suggest.

I have all my tests in a written form. I can do a test in a lab whenever I want and get the result by email. E coli is only in the sperm. Never in urine. But as I have read, others feel no pain during the ABX. I do not get that result. The pain is the same. I never had blood in urine, sperm looks ok. The prostate according to all the docs is enlarged. Tests are done on a sperm sample. In 3-4 labs and I have my full condition history on printed papers. Its not the case of invented bacterias.

E coli is only in the sperm
You may have an infection in the seminal vesicles. Dr Shoskes has some information on this
http://www.dshoskes.com/chronic-prostatitis-page.html

If the SVs or ejaculatory ducts are obstructed by a stone, a Transurethral Resection (TUR) could help.

In your case, I would suggest more help from expert urologists. Once they have eradicated the infection, we can see if there is residual pain, or a case of CPPS.

This may also be of interest, a new study showing that persistent, stone-resident E. coli can be eradicated with combination antibiotic therapy:
Persistent extended-spectrum β-lactamase-positive Escherichia coli chronic prostatitis successfully treated with a combination of fosfomycin and doxycycline

Will look into it. Most of my problems are in the bladder area ... pain when sitting down and the pain tells me my bladder is getting full. I take Xatral, but even before that frequency wasn't an issue. I don't have that nice feeling that the bladder is getting full, its the pain that lets me know. And I have abdominal pain in general.

I have the book "A Headache in the Pelvis "but, to be honest ... I find it just an invitation to the clinic. I don't get it how to locate the trigger points.

Ok I am in a lot of sitting pain. I drive 1.5 hours to work each day and have a desk job. I am in agony for most of the day. I spoke with my uro today and he is going to do an ultrasound of my prostate and then numb it with an injection. I can't sit. I am taking Quercetin Tylenol Valium have the Headache book -- but I can't sit. I write this from bed. I was active and loose and an exerciser before this all happened. I know there must be muscle tightness down there -- but it just feels like every day is a 10,000-mile journey of pain. I am obsessing about it only because it is there all of the time. Any feedback would be appreciated. I am an invalid at 51 and getting angry and frustrated.

I know exactly how you feel, every bit of it, except my pain is in a different area now.
The only thing I would say is, even though you probably don't feel like being on the phone, it would benefit you to make calls today (before the weekend) and try to find a pelvic floor therapist, and try to schedule something. Ask your Uro if they know of any.
I understand exactly what the pain does to you. That's why I have posted so many topics. For now, try laying on a heating pad, 20 minutes on the front, 20 on the back. Maybe try doing a little self-therapy, slowly and gently. Use the Headache book as a guide if you feel comfortable trying it. It's probably going to hurt like that until you start getting those trigger points released.
As far as the injection goes, I don't know anything about that. Seems like the uro would want to try alpha blockers first. They relax the small muscles in and around the prostate - smooth muscle.
Have you found out if your prostate is swollen/enlarged?

He said that one side was boggy-then checked again and said it was normal. I honestly think these guys are not sure how to deal with this. He is familiar with pelvic floor stuff. And I have been to PT once. I literally though just don't even want to sit for 30 seconds

I saw 3 urologists before I had success with the 4th who diagnosed me. The other three ran tests, and thew up their hands and did not know what was going on. I felt like I knew more than they did, and that was not comforting at all. If you are not comfortable with the urologist you've been seeing, there's nothing wrong with finding another if you think that's the thing to do.

Urologists are trained in the flow of urine, and reproductive fluids. CPPS concerns muscles and nerves, and some psychological aspects. A neurologist won't be able to help either. I have read, and agree, the best people to help treat this are physical therapists who specialize in pelvic floor therapy, internal massage. They see, first hand, the results of the therapy day after day, patient after patient, and a good one knows how to make a difference with this stuff. My pelvic floor muscles are a ton better than they were when I started. I have almost no trigger points (just one or two small ones), but I still have peripheral pains which I'm working on, not sure what's causing them - and a tailbone area that is horribly nagging.

Did the PT do internal therapy through the rectum?

Chances are your prostate is not swollen, though it might have a little inflammation. Did you read the page on the main site about mast cells, and inflammation?
