Last question for the day (I think..lol ) Do you guys think it's possible for my NMT to be able to feel scar tissue in my abs via a massage (where did it come from I have never had surgery in this area )?
Do think it's possible she can break it up via intense massage?

- I suggest you see a surgeon to assess the hernia issue properly. You need an expert second opinion.
- Marijuana is a known trigger for CPPS. Avoid.
- I cannot comment on the breaking up of scar tissue; maybe someone else can?

Re: Do I have CPPS? (I will beat this)
so nobody here gets pain in the hip flexor.....Also I get what I think would be called muscle cramps in other parts of my body like the other day I was just at home chilling when I flex my biceps and my left bicep locked up in a flexed state when I tried to straighten my arm my bicep was still flex and it hurt really bad still does as I think I might have tore something trying to straighten my arm ..can this be related to whatever is going on in my abs

Re: Do I have CPPS? (I will beat this)
Only a small handful of people are actively reading the forum at any one stage. Most members are better or cured and have moved on with life. So if nobody is answering your questions, it's because only about 50 people are active here at any one time, even though we have 1000+ members.
I suggest using the search feature.
BTW, not all pains are directly related to CPPS. Your hip flexor pain could be a sign of fibro, which often occurs along with CPPS.
Also sounds like you have a magnesium deficiency with the locking muscles problem

I would echo webslave's thought on magnesium deficiency. The pain in your hip flexor might be local (from TPs) or central (fibromyalgia-like hyperalgesia or allodynia).
Age: 26 | Onset Age: 23 | Symptoms: Neuropathic-like pain and hyperalgesia (lateral/anterior thighs mostly, but distributed throughout body); Pain (penis shaft, right side, when erect for long or excess masturbation) | Previous Symptoms: Pain (testicles; penis underside, mostly near base and running up urethra, sharp/burning; perennial region, dull; ejaculatory; post-ejaculatory); Urinary (moderate incomplete voiding; moderate frequency and pain on bladder filling); Sensations (cold in head of penis) | Helped By: Stretching (especially hip rotators and flexors); Yoga (especially lunges, warrior 2, and pigeon) Trigger point release (abdominals; iliopsoas; gluteus muscles and piriformis; bulbospongiosus & ischiocavernosus; thigh adductors); Meditation (mindfulness); Walking & Aerobic Exercise | Worsened By: Stress, anxiety, too much alcohol, lack of sleep, sitting at length | Current prescriptions: nortriptyline (10 mg, 1x at night; for CNS sensitization and IBS) Previous prescriptions: hydroxyzine (10 mg, 1x at night; for urinary symptoms/mast cell stabilization; useful), clonazepam (0.25-0.5 mg, 1x at night; for anxiety/CNS sensitization; useful for short time)

Re: Do I have CPPS? (I will beat this)
I know it has been some what discussed and ruled out but I'm thinking a chiropractor might be the answer in my case. I have been seeing one for a couple of weeks and thus far it is the only treatment that has recreated my symptoms, for example my urinary symptoms have flared since having these adjustment as has my lower abdominal pain...I have seen a PT and yes have been left in pain but not the same type of pain. Is it possible that nerves in my back could be the cause of my pelvic pain and not vice versa? I think I will continue this for a couple months and see how it goes ..I mean CPPS is a syndrome right? And Syndrome means a condition that they don't know why your in pain right? or no?

Re: Do I have CPPS? (I will beat this)
in 1998, Doggweiler et al were able to create inflammation in rat bladders by damaging their spinal cords with a deliberately introduced viral infection of the spine, so it is possible, in theory, that spinal damage can inflame urogenital tissue.

Re: Do I have CPPS? (I will beat this)
Okay fellas I had a MRI in January which revealed that I have my hip abductors including the gluteus minimus & medius at the greater tuberosity are mildly tendopathic bilaterally. There is mildly increased signal intensity in the greater trochanteric bursa..mildly prominent however not enlarged lymph nodes within the bilateral inguinal regions ..mild right side trochanteric bursitis...are these findings common in CPPS? Or should my focus be elsewhere? They've got me doing some stretching & strengthening exercises...not sure if anyone can answer this ...Webslave?

Re: Do I have CPPS? (I will beat this)
MRIs are not useful in CPPS, as far as I know. I don't remember others reporting similar MRI findings. That said, prominent lymph nodes are common in CPPS (I had them too).
The use of the word "mild" throughout the report indicates that the findings are not definitive and show only slight changes. Many normal people would probably have similar results.
Stretching exercises are good, but strengthening exercises can be counter productive.
