that cut healing itchy feeling

Post by inflamed »

Just wondering does anyone else get this. Have had this feeling to the right of my prostate for a while now 'feeling when a cut is healing' ie itchy. Only one problem I can't itch it. grrrrr! Have been thinking how to describe this feeling suddenly hit me after getting a nasty gash on my knee which is now heeling :62_58_40: Feels exactly the same.

Do you guys get this from trigger points?

cheers

Best guess: it's a neuropathic itch, a form of paresthesia, in your case from inflammation of surrounding tissues and irritation to the nerve in the region.
Good News! The great ProstaQ is BACK at last! You must try it.

I have that same itchy feeling. I noticed it directly affects my breathing (It makes me breathe deep and high up to my chest, as there is no way to relieve or 'scratch' my prostate/urethra) which in return worsens my anxiety.

Were you able to resolve this itchy feeling?

Have you tried massaging the muscles in the area, specifically deep in the ischiocavernosus? That might help.

I did. It seemed to relieve the itchyness for a while, but it comes back a few minutes after the massaging.

I would encourage you to keep it up if it relieved the symptoms, even for a few minutes. Figuring out chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome is a study in breaking vicious cycles, even for small periods of time.
