I don't think anybody thinks that. Be sure that the exercises aren't harming your pelvic floor. If you run for long distances and notice a flare afterwards, think about other forms of aerobic exercise that don't impact the pelvis as much. If you're doing core strengthening exercises and you notice a flare, experiment to find which exercises don't provoke a flare. Exercising is definitely good as it can improve your body's pain tolerance, reduce anxiety/depression, and improve general function.

Please do not post in ALL CAPS.

The chiropractor is unlikely to be helpful, in my experience.

The flares you get after seeing a massage therapist strongly suggest your CPPS is amenable to treatment via protocols such as that described by Wise-Anderson.

Yup. It's always shifting for me. Makes sense, considering your muscles are all connected, and tightness or weakness in some can cause others to overcompensate. Today is particularly bad for my abdominals.

It could be the cause of testicular and/or groin pain.

I had had a Urodynamics test today it's a test that looks at your bladder to see if it's squeezing like it should and it also checks to see if your pelvic floor is relaxing as it should what else they can see is if there's any obstruction going on ...Well my results are that my prostate is in fact mildly enlarged and obstructing my urine when leaving the bladder ....needless to say I am very disappointed in these findings..Really I already knew from cat scans that my prostate was bigger than it should be but I still had hope that maybe it was my pelvic floor and that I could fix it through stretching and relaxing ect ect ...I guess I'm pretty much f*cked...and I'm only 40 yrs old

No, you're not f*cked. That sort of thinking is called "catastrophizing" and it's associated with poor outcomes, in other words that sort of thinking is a self-fulfilling prophecy. So stop it.

Having a mildly enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia or BPH) is not unusual at 40. Symptomatic (clinical) BPH is present in approximately 26% of men in the fifth decade of life (ages 40-50).

Additionally, some of the enlargement may be due to the inflammatory effects of CPPS itself, if you have it.

You could ask for a TURP (to cut a wider path for the urine through the prostate), but that probably will only become necessary in about 10 years or more. Only do it if your doctor recommends it. It's a routine procedure.

Meanwhile, concentrate on following all the things we recommend here to quell pelvic pain and inflammation. You should also try the Quercetin suppliers product for BPH, which you can read about here (at the end of this page):

Where did you get the idea that you may have a hernia?

There is an idiot on the internet (who is banned from this forum) going around to every forum he can saying that his pelvic pain was cured by a bilateral hernia operation. This person has a long history of lying and trying to get other people to try out surgical cures for him, so that he can gauge whether or not to do something based on their outcomes. I've seen him actively encourage others into hernia operations. Please ignore him.

Any kind of pain can be sensitive to touch. But think allodynia for this.

No I had a doctor tell me he thinks I could have a bilateral sports hernia (1st my PT suggested it well she said she wanted me to see this doctor and see if it could be ruled out) which is not a true hernia its more of a tear or weakening of the back side of the lower abdominal muscles. A lot of people who play sports or work out on the regular tend to get this injury ....Also my Neuromuscular massage therapist says she feels a lot of scar tissue in my lower abs not sure if this hogwash or what ..so I thought I'd ask here ..the doc suggest surgery while my NMT says just keep coming to her and things will get better and they had until about a week ago. I was doing some decline push ups when I felt a lil pinch or pull in that area now back to square one.
