Tingle + Golf

Post by Paso »

Hey guys,

Two questions. I have had 2,5 weeks with 99,5% symptom relief. Wonderful. This Friday I had some more frequency again and it stayed over saturday. Not Terrible but more. Today I went out for Golf and the frequency went away during golf (This happens a lot with me and Golf). Why?

Also It was very windy today (hence my 89  ) but no so cold, around 20 celcius. I noticed after playing the tingle sensation in my "testicles" I had before. Anyone elese had the tingle in the testicles? If so, what is it?

The tingle or shuddering or twitching feeling we sometimes get in the groin and testicles is the equivalent of the "tic" you get in the eyelid. It's a sign of muscle spasm (sound familiar?). It is quite interesting to read about the eyelid spasm:

http://www.ninds.nih.gov/health_and_med ... ospasm.htm

It similar to pelvic myoneuropathy in many ways: the involuntary spasm, the wind-up leading to increased neurological sensitivity (to light, with us it's heat/pain), the use of Botox to resolve the neuromuscular defect ...

Hey Paso,

Yes, you are relaxing when playing golf as its a favorite enjoyable thing. Therefore your muscles are less likely to be in spasm and therefore less frequency.

Its like me and cycling. When I cycle, very little urinary frequency, but if I push too hard and do lots of hills, the next few days have a bit of frequency as my butt muscles tighten to cope with adapting to the new cycling workload and those tight muscles are the same ones that tighten and create frequency.

You WILL wax and wane with this condition but if you do the protocol you should notice the overall trend is UPWARD. You will drive yourself crazy trying to scientifcially rationalize every twitch or change. As Dr. Wise, suggests, just observe it as sensation, let it go by and within a few months, there will be less negative sensations and things like frequency.
I think you will get great value out of Tim Sawyer and Dr. Wise. Good continued luck.

Michael,

You are so right in what you say. I will try and think less of this but still stick to the ptotocol as much as I can. Excersise and Golf seems to help which to me is positive :)

Thanks and take care

I would agree that I find there is far less frequency or negative sensations while I am doing things that I personally enjoy. I have always equated it to being a mental distraction from the condition. You just seem to forget and relax for a few hours.

Yes I notice I can sit thru something I'm enjoying without thinking of CP and not be in pain . But if its something I don't enjoy it irritates me a lot . And that's great advice Michael . Try not to think about it or it will drive you crazy . I like that . I think I'm already half crazy . I hope that gets better too .
