Any Members with this symptom?

Post by davyboy »

Hello All,

I must say that I am having much better days lately. But there is one particular symptom I'd like to inquire about to see if anyone else has this bizarre symptom - I am convinced that it is related to my pelvic woes. I don't even know what to call it.

Certain movements can induce a feeling/pop in the groin (or more specifically the sacroiliac joint I think) as if an elastic band is snapping. For instance, the thought of squeezing my thighs together using a device like this

would provoke this sensation. Or else riding a horse/motorcycle and using my thighs to hold on would cause that sensation.

Yesterday I got my girlfriend to place pressure on my inner thigh with her hand. I tried to place pressure against her hand and it induced this pain/pop in the groin.

Does anyone know what this could be? I'm going to mention it to my PT. I feel like I've brought this problem up with PTs/doctors for a year now and no one has ever thought of it to have a connection with my pelvic floor dysfunction.

I just wanted to see if anyone could relate. I've been unable to get any medical professionals to really provide any commentary on this issue.
Age: 27 | Onset Age: 26| Symptoms: Occasional penis discomfort (mild), primary pain is perineum - feels like I'm sitting on a golf ball, pressure in penis, almost like a stick is in my urethra, difficulty sitting for long periods of time, urinary frequency (some), incontinence (dribbling), right testicle pain (almost gone!), hip pain, stiff hips, lower back pain. Some abdomen pain. Just general discomfort in the area, post sex discomfort. | Helped By: External and Internal PT. Hot bathes. Supplements (mag, omega 3, vitamin b and D, prosta Q). Relaxing. Breathing exercises. Anti inflammatory diet. Stretches. Yoga | Worsened By: Stress. Core exercises, too much exercise, too little exercise, strenuous exercise. Sitting. Too much Sex | Other comments: Feeling better, but still not 100% I'd say I'm 75%

a big factor in this. Absolutely correct! About 5 years ago I hurt my back bad, and a PT had me squeeze a ball between my legs. I heard a "snap", and she said it was some joint in my pelvis moving. I was in pain for about 2 weeks, but that was during a time period when I was controlling
Of course search term snap, snapping snapping feeling, twinge, adductor (spasm) ... ... ...
Age:43 | Onset Age:36 | Symptoms: First urinary and backside, golf ball feeling, now ok (no heavy exercise) . Major onset seemed to be with heavy coughing spell , felt "tearing" or nerve pain in rectum/prostate. | Helped By:Hot showers, sleep.Worsened By: Type A obsessiveness ... Stressing, what-if thinking, weights.
Not a doctor. -

Don't give up. I have been cured of this terrible condition through the most unlikely source. Please check below.
Biblical Passages which back up my healing from Chronic Prostatitis

Matthew 9:35
Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.

Luke 9:1-2
Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases. He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.

Acts 5:15-16
So that they brought the sick out into the streets and laid them on beds and couches, that at least the shadow of Peter passing by might fall on some of them. Also a multitude gathered from the surrounding cities to Jerusalem, bringing sick people and those who were tormented by unclean spirits, and they were all healed.

Never had that. Some of us can FEEL the muscles relax & grip as we are sensitized/work on them often but pops never had that myself but have heard people with trigger points describe a pop. Of course describing these events can be tricky. I would ask your PT to check that out.

Thanks Mike.

It's not a terrible symptom. It's just bizarre. I find that I have a really difficult time doing any type of fast movements. I went to a friend's soccer game last night and all the short choppy movements provoked this system. I can't even tell if it's related to my mysofacial pelvic pain. The only reason I feel that it is is due to the fact it's in the groin.
