I was cured with 6 weeks of ciprofloxacin, and a year later after being re-infected after unprotected sex, I got cured once more with 10 days of doxycykline.
Another year later, I got reinfected again after unprotected sex. Never failing with antibiotics before, I accepted the short courses I was prescribed.
However, this time I was not able to clear it with the short 10-20 days courses, making the bacteria resistant and also infecting one seminal vesicle, which seems to be harder to clear with oral antibiotics.
Suffering from it a year now, I joined the forum to find more information on injection therapy.

Re: Recurrent prostatitis
You need to consider that without bacteriological testing that shows a particular organism, eg E. coli, you are probably simply having chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome flares that are responding to the anti-inflammatory effects of antibiotics.
There is a small chance you have true chronic bacterial prostatitis, but it is not very common and has a distinct clinical picture:

Re: Recurrent prostatitis
Be skeptical of the theory that you have an infected seminal vesicle. Those symptoms are more likely to be from CPPS/myofascial pain.
Do not get injections, unless you are injecting trigger points.
Stop having unprotected sex for reasons that include, but are not limited to, the fact that this activity tends to flare up your chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome symptoms, probably due to the stress, anxiety, and worry regarding potential consequences.
