Hello all!!
I recently decided to get a new office chair because mine was falling apart. I had been using a cheap leather chair with a latex seat cushion with a cut out in the middle. My chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome was really fine on this chair when using the latex cushion but the chair itself was just crap. I've had my chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome under control for about 5 months now with very minimal discomfort as long as i manage it well. I thought I could do away with the seat cushion and get a nice chair.
I bought the Aeron chair and have had it for about a week now. It causes my chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome to freakin hurt after even just 10 minutes. I still have to use my seat cushion. I don't have this issue sitting on an normal chairs without my cushion. I spent like $800 and am now trying to return it. Just thought I'd give everyone a heads up.
I'm going to try the HaraChair next. http://haratech.de/hara_stuhl/burostuhl ... p/?lang=en This is the only place I could find to order one, I'm trying to get in touch with someone there that speaks English.
If anyone has any experience with this chair or any others please let me know. I'd like to find a chair that I didn't need to use my seat cushion because the seat cushion isn't the most supportive and just throws off the posture on the chairs.

Aeron office chair review
Age: 29 Onset Age: 29 (6-5-11)
Symptoms: Ache/sore in the perineum, inflamed/golf ball in perineum. Painful erections. Pain after ejaculation and during sex. Slight increase in urination but nothing severe (this use to be much worse and has gotten better).
Helped By: Hot baths, Sleep/laying down, exercise, relaxing, klonopin/valium/Ativan, having fun
Worsened By: sex/ejaculation/arousal/porn, sitting, stress/anxiety, rubbing/touching prostate
My story This whole thing started immediately following an extensive porn/masturbation weekend event, basically 5 4hour long masturbation sessions over a 3 day weekend, constantly holding off my orgasm by tensing PC muscle. I've also been masturbating and having sex like a porn star for the past 8 years now, constantly holding off the ejaculation by tensing PC muscle....so bad!! My CPPS has gotten slightly better after stopping porn/masturbating amongst other things and I'm now left with the main symptom listed above. I'm also a recovering porn addict.

I sat in Aeron chairs for the past 10 years as an Art Director. They are pretty bad as far as chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome is concerned. I use an Eames management chair now and it's been much better. ;)

Tweezer! Wow.. this is the first that I've seen. That image looks like there would be no pressure on the anus or perineum at all. Did you buy this?
If there is a US location to buy this chair, I will get it and provide you feedback. Just need to know where to get it from.

I am interested, too, in the Hara Chair. It seems a little expensive to just take a chance on. It also looks like it's shipped from Europe. I would hate to drop more than 700 bucks on a chair only to have it arrive from Germany and discover that it's uncomfortable. If someone finds a place in the US that has them, or a good review of them, please post!

Symptoms: An almost constant feeling of the need to urinate all the time. Pain in the penis, at the tip, and "behind" the penis inside the pelvis. Also urethral pain after ejaculation. No rectal pain or symptoms at all.
Helped By: Hot baths, Dr. Wise's relaxation tapes. Internal trigger point work every two days with the Wise-Anderson Protocol wand.
Worsened By: Ejaculation (changes the pain to a burning sensation most times) Alcohol increases urinary frequency greatly. Falling "off the wagon" and not following the Wise-Anderson Protocol protocol.

Re: Aeron office chair review
You guys ever tried standing and working? I looked into standing desks and they are expensive, but just for a trial I'm working on a small table that I put on top of my coffee table, and doing about 4 hours a day of standing work on my computer, and it's going pretty well. It's hard at first to do more than about an hour but you build up, and it's much better for you to stand than sit if you suffer from CPPS. I've had positive results so far, hips are less tight and pelvic pain is overall down.
Age: 43 (UPDATES 1/2015) | Onset Age: 39 | Symptoms: pain when bladder fills (MUCH BETTER NOW), some pain in urethra (ALMOST NO PAIN NOW), low libido (90% back to normal), some pain in upper pelvic area (80% not there anymore), not able to void completely (This is still a problem but slightly better now), dribbling (still a problem but slightly better), pain after ejaculation (sometimes 24 hrs or so) (ALMOST NO PAIN NOW EVER AFTER EJACULATING!) | Helped By: Relaxation, breathing, mindfulness, reading "Get Out Of Your Head And Into Your Life", light but consistent exercise, taking the herb kratom (once a day max), not sitting for long periods, not focusing too much on the problems. | Worsened By: stress, masturbation (sometimes), sex (only occassionally), not sleeping enough, drinking lots of caffeine. No longer taking Terozosin (3 months with only minor relief), Elavil 10mg (3 weeks with minor relief, but side effects of brain fog too much). Now taking: 6000mg vitamin D (over a year), 3000 mg fish oils (over a year) 3mg/1 teaspoon kratom several days a week with breaks
