Laptops

Post by Mike Kavo »

Anyone got the latest laptop laidback table? Is the angle better than the old wood one. It was steep and made my MacBook hinges shut. Also is build quality good?

I bought the posturite version for same money and it snapped in use today grrrrrrrrr...good design but Chinese made and weak. They are easier to source in UK also. I will contact them to moan about it.

Any suggestions on a laptop table would be great!

To answer myself the Laptop Laidback V3 is the one to buy not these ones Easy Laptop Desk.

The Easy Laptop Desk style are all over ebay but they are cheap, crude, nasty and fall apart! They are made with cheap plastic legs which wobble and eventually snap. They are metal on top so they scratch your laptop to bits (especially MacBook Pros). Do not buy this one!

I tested the Laptop Laidback V3 on many laptops and it handles them all perfectly! This is the one to buy. The MacBook hinges do tend to shut when you get up and move but this is beneficial for protection and power saving. The V3 does indeed angle better than the V1 and the hinges stay open on it.

I would never advise to use these alone as I consulted an occupational therapist and we agreed I should not use it all the time - bad posture. But we did think when I need to get off the chair for a bit this was the best solution so I could still work. Every chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome sufferer should invest in one of these!
