My story
Ok I don't really know what or how this all started for me. My first symptom was yrs of lower back pain. I know I first went to the doctor in 2003 (long time) and was told I have a inflamed prostate, took the meds and moved on with life. I could still feel something but not really pain (easy to ignore). I did notice I started to cum much quicker than ever before but just ignored it and keep living. Then I started having trouble passing urine meaning I would have a strong urge to pee but would only get out a little. This would only happen sometimes so I figured it was nothing. So by time 2009 hit I was always having trouble peeing and I always felt like I have to pee went to the doc urine test (neg) std (neg) cat scan, DRE - mildly inflamed prostate..... Abx made me worse...skip to today my symptoms are Low sex drive (if I touch a woman or am touched I do get aroused or if she performs some type of sex act or I watch porn) I always got to pee (I can pee most times now), pain in lower abs, pain in right testicle, drips after I pee. Mild discomfort in abs with erection, I do get erections but not as strong as I should and it is easily lost if not engaged in the act I will lose it if she gets up to go to bathroom or something like that, swelling in testicle (right) everyday I don't know if this is related but all of a sudden I have a hard time digesting bread or bread types of food and my limbs go numb pretty easy & often mostly my arms and hands. Never had burning when I pee never had rectal pain never had discharge, no pain in the penis, no pain in the perineum, I can sit for hours if need be, my symptoms are worse with standing. This has been very hard on my mental, I'm only thirty eight yrs old......any advice would help I have the Dr Wise book and I have another called heal pelvic pain (I think this book might be a bit better easy to understand..IMO) it's written by Amy Stein m.p.t pretty much the same. I am also seeing a PT and doing internal work...................on the norm I feel good in the morning when I wake and that's the only time I can have a BM any other time I need to it feels like I'm not strong enough to push it out

Re: My story
Something else is...I was feeling better not healed but a lot better until last Monday. I had a CT scan and x-rays. I'm not sure if it was the contrast or the thing they had strap around my waist (it was putting pressure on my core) but I been messed up every since that day....is there a test to see if gluten is bothering me?? Another ? is what does an MRI show you?? How can I know for sure that I'm dealing with chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome and not chasing my tale with the stretches and what not?

Re: My story
MRI shows a lot of things, including inflammation and spinal problems. There are gluten tests, including blood tests and biopsy tests, but you can still be gluten intolerant even if those tests come back negative. See viewtopic.php?f=13&t=7790
Your case sounds like chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome to me; it's a diagnosis by exclusion usually.

You may have low testosterone as well. Any time your body chemistry is out of whack it can affect MANY MANY things - including mood, libido, fuzzy brain, fatigue...
I would see an endocrinologist as they specialize in this.

Is bloating in the abs a symptom any of you heard of? Also I have a hard time passing gas - I have to stop and concentrate and push it out.

Re: My story
If the PT is capable of internal work and is helping you, she's good enough. If not, then find someone who can perform the necessary treatments.
Nortriptyline is similar to amitriptyline (Elavil), which many men have useful (a mast cell protector, muscle relaxant, subdues nerve pain). Baclofen is a muscle relaxer and may be useful, although we have not seen many positive reports.
Benzos (benzodiazepines) are tranquillizers.
The deleted thread was about Wobenzym (an enzyme tablet containing plant-based enzymes bromelain and papain). Many men took it without benefit.

Re: My story
Side effects of those drugs sound pretty scary to me. I have had them for months never took even one.

Re: My story
I wouldn't say that is typical. Swelling at the testicle made worse by movement could be inguinal hernia. Have a specialist check that out.

Re: My story
I have been checked for hernia before the doc felt around my testicles but said it was all good had and ultrasound but upon cultures they have found red blood cells in my urine. This not been properly explained to me. He just said this can happen after a DRE.

Re: My story
Ok guys this what's up with me as of late... up and down back forth.. one min I think I'm on track, next I'm messed up all over again. These past two days have been great as far as my testicles and lower ab (which is the only place I ever get pain) pain goes, but all of a sudden I have so much pain in my left hip I can hardly walk. But I tell you this, I would limp forever if it means the other symptoms go away ...but that's not gonna happen...cuz ..today as my hip pain lessens I feel my real symptoms coming back. I think I might have overstretched my hip flexor.
I don't know where to find the link you speak of webslave, what does it say???
