My flow/hesitancy issues tend to wax and wane, and it feels like something is locked up in spasm before I have to go. It's always the worst in the morning.

Me thinks that my chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome just worsened because of the medication causing a day's worth of heightened anxiety. It's the only explanation I can think of.

Plus, now my adductors and hip flexors are as tight as hell and my perineal aching is more pronounced after urination. It's been two weeks since this worsening of symptoms has started

I guess a period of severe anxiety can cause a permanent worsening of symptoms, especially if you've been as neglectful of stretching as I am (I am in medical school at the University of South Florida, so stress has not been kind to me).

I guess that's the reason periods of stress can trigger the onset of this condition.

So I went to my PT and she said my pelvic floor was completely contracted. She tried stretching the muscles it but it wasn't giving.

This is a bit discouraging.

Make sure you try to relax when you or someone is working at trying to release those tight muscles. The first few treatments I had were so painful I couldn't relax and clenched due to the pain, this is a normal reaction but we ultimately need to attempt relaxation. My PT inserts a finger and has me doing these breathing exercises that loosen the tension. Both she and I can see and feel how breathing effects our pelvic floor.
Age: 25 Onset: 23. | Symptoms: Burning in urethra, urinary frequency/urgency, 'golf ball' in butt syndrome, muscle tension form pelvis to calves, constipation, IBS, testicular pain/inflam, bladder pain when nearly full, difficulty relaxing muscles (coccygeal, levator ani etc.), pain and muscles tension in anus/perineum. Helped by: quercetin, relaxation, baths, heat packs applied to perineum. Worsened by: Stress, driving, sitting, jogging, caffeine etc.

I'm having same issues after just one dose. Really starting to freak out now. It's been 3 days but something isn't right.

Very hesitant urine flow with feeling of incomplete evacuation of bladder. For the most part constant discomfort.
Good to go!

I talked with Dr. Wise and he says it's probably neurological windup. SSRIs like Lexapro can be very activating and can rev up the anxiety which can cause things to worsen overnight.
