I remember the last doctor I visited mentioned the possibility of chronic non bacterial prostatitis, being related or triggered by the nervous system or a mental conditions. He had just published a study and do some seminars about this outside the country (unfortunately he didn't have the material with him that day).
I remember that 2 months before I got the first symptoms, my grandmother passed away. I was very close to her as I have live always with her almost all the day, and the day she died I was outside the country. It had a killing effect on me, and it still has, the fact that I was not able to say a proper goodbye to her. Just thinking about this makes me cry of guilty thoughts. Sometimes I have been thinking of my current problems as a kind of punishment for not taking care of her in a proper manner.
How much these conditions can be related in reality?

Re: Stress and guilty thoughts
In my opinion, it is very likely that this stress was the trigger that started the condition. It's useful that you have made this connection. I suggest you get some help dealing with these feelings, as a first step.
Good News! The great ProstaQ is BACK at last! You must try it.
