"Aphrodisiac" herbs such as Horny Goat Weed and Ginseng

Has anyone had any positive, negative, or neutral experiences with herbs such as horny goat weed, ginseng, or other supplements that are supposed to increase sexual stimulation/pleasure/performance?
I tried horny goat weed once on a regular night (no girl) and it did not have a dramatic effect. It did, however, make my urethra feel a little tighter.
Anyway, I know that many of those drugs are said to improve circulation to the pelvic area and/or aid in the buildup of testosterone. I learned about them when reading about how to treat a varicocele, which is another condition I have (it is a benign buildup of veins in the scrotum that can cause infertility but it does not cause any chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome symptoms) and I was wondering if anyone has attempted to use any of these "aphrodisiac" herbs to deal with CPPS.

Some so-called "aphrodisiacs" work by irritating the urethra, and should be avoided. An example is Spanish Fly.
