Internal sphincter link to pubic area.

Post by Bladderneck »

I had a hard BM the other day and then I got pain at the base of the penis in the pubic area. So I guess what happen in my butt innervate the lower abdomen. Think about it,the Puborectalis muscle.

Yes...

BM's can aggravate nerves and cause flairs...In fact it just happened to me last week and the flair lasted a few days...I had to go and had to hold it and I think clenching and holding for a few minutes set it off...So it's important to have a diet high in fiber...and when you have to go make sure you don't delay it by clenching...but don't crap your pants either!!! LOL..

Age, 44 onset age 37 Feb 2006 Freq. need to urinate. Sensation of having to urinate soon after going. Perineum discomfort/burning/tightness, pubic area discomfort @ times, poor urine stream, post urine dripping/spray. All symptoms have improved with my protocol. At the worst I give it a 1 to 2 on irritation and discomfort and frequency. Helps: Elavil 5mg for anxiety and mast cell protection, (will only take it as needed) self internal PT as needed, stretching, walking, stairmaster cardio workout and light weights, reducing stress, moment to moment relaxation, deep breathing relaxation and using a Theracane. Makes worse: sitting for long periods, stress, over focusing on it. Currently 95%-98% recovered. Stay positive, relaxed and control your anxiety.

What has helped me with that is the sphincter stretch and wand from the Wise course has really reduced the post BM burn that is my main problem and relaxing my butt as much as possible.
CPP since 2005. Prior to CPP always overly fit and active. I am female. Had two natural births: singleton 1998 and twins 2000. 2002 emergency back surgery - L5S1 herniation. Then recurring UTIs. Usual antibiotic overload. Then constant debilitating burning bladder and reaction to many foods. Australian Pain Clinic 2007. Turning point was Dec 2009 Attended Wise Clinic in Santa Rosa USA.
Was helped by strict diet but now eating normally after years of restricted diet - wonderful. Helped by: stretching, relaxation, yoga, trigger point, warm baths. Worsened by: stress, sitting, abdominal or glute exercises and salicylates
Medication: Now off all pain clinic meds no more Endone or Elavil only Lyrica 50 mg as Dec 2010 just reherniated L5S1disc and had discectomy. Its taken years but I feel I am over it.

That nerve under the pubic hairs.

I know it's just under the skin. It pinches my colon as well when it burns.

In my case, this nerve ending is responsible for enhancing orgasm, also relates to the bladder neck, the bladder and the lower colon.

I'm thinking about doing Uracyst instillation but my bladder neck is tight and may not appreciated being catheterized.

That is interesting because when I was at my worst two years ago orgasm gave me raw searing pain..I was told it was pudendal...anyway as the muscular contraction has slowly relaxed that symptom has gone...thank goodness

Keep up the internal/anal stretches and moment to moment relaxation. That's what helped me..even though I know our anatomy is different..there are too many similarities

When I googled it it said a levatator ani that won't relax...any relaxation won't hurt thats for sure...gentle stretching done very cautiously may even help...I was told I had pudendal nerve malfuntion...the doctors do their best but its worth giving the HITP a really good try over an extended period..every little bit could help
