My baseline symptoms are these strange but not painful tingling sensations in my scrotum/perineum area. Some days I barely feel them and other days their non-stop and sometimes drive me bonkers! Does ne1 have these symptoms or at least an idea of what these are and how to mitigate them? I once described this to another prostatitis sufferer and he described them as "phantom nerve impulses".
Thanks!

Search the forum for "fasciculation".

Re: Does anyone have my symptoms?
Yes, I had this symptom myself in a pretty major way. I can say without a doubt that this is not fasciculation because I've had moments of that as well once I started to get better. The tingling sensation in the scrotum and perineum is a very different thing. It has everything to do with the internal muscles and the tightness they are stuck in. I had to go 6-7 inches internally with a tool to release the areas responsible for these symptoms amongst others. It took a year of work but I rarely get this symptom anymore as my muscles and body have begun to heal from this condition. I can promise you though that it won't go away until you pursue internal physical therapy. At least that's how it was for me.

6-7 inches!!?? That's gotta be hitting near your prostate if not hitting it. What kind of tool is this? Is this a pro-state massager, "sex toy" or what? I just got started using the pro-state to massage my prostate. No breakthroughs yet but very interesting device I must say.neue01 wrote:I had to go 6-7 inches internally with a tool to release the areas responsible for these symptoms amongst others.
Please give me some more detail on how you resolved this issue.
Thanks!

Re: Does anyone have my symptoms?
I used a probe tool and had to go up a few inches past the prostate which is in about 4 inches or so. You sort of have to play this stuff by ear. Everybody's body, symptoms and dysfunctioning muscles are different. All I can say is that when I finally adopted using a tool and going in deeper then I or my PT could with fingers I hit the mother load. You will know if these areas are a problem... when I just barely touched the area it burned and ached like hell... it literally brought tears to my eyes. Like I said you will know when you find the areas internally that are causing you trouble. Explore the lower areas with your fingers first for a few months until you get accustomed to the area, techniques and process involved.

Re: Does anyone have my symptoms?
Can you tell me what this tool is called and where I can attain one? I spoke to my PT about this and she told me it was called an anal dilator. Is this what you were using?
Thanks!

Re: Does anyone have my symptoms?
Jon,
I've got the same kind of symptoms... seems I get a tingling before the muscles tense up. Have you found anything that is working for you.
By the way, thanks for your post, it's good to know that we aren't alone in these symptoms.
