Obtaining Medication for Low Libido/ED

Post by Caiaphas »

My chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome symptoms vary, but for the last two months or so, my pelvis has felt very tight and maintaining an erection is often uncomfortable and therefore not possible. Of course, this flare has coincided with dating a beautiful new girl. Life can be humbling.

I've been to several GPs, urologists, and physical therapists over the years and the problem of low libido, genital soreness, and softer erections was never seriously addressed and, as I said, it comes and goes depending on the severity of my symptoms.

I'm a young guy and I'm 95% sure no doctor would prescribe me something like Cialis or Viagra (especially since so few understand the chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome and it's ramifications). So the question is where/how can I obtain either these medications or some sort of reputable supplement to get me through this uncomfortable (and embarrassing) phase of my recovery? According to a few other posts here, it sounds like it's not unheard of for other chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome sufferers in their 20's to try them.

Can anyone recommend a reputable and safe website? Or anything for that matter.

Current regimen/supplementation:One-A-Day Multivitamin, Pollen-Aid (2-3 a day), Quercetin (2 tabs a day), trigger point physical therapy once every 5-7 days, relaxing and stretching at night or when necessary.

I can't help except to say that I think you might be underestimating the chances that a doctor would prescribe these meds. I'd certainly ask before going through a dodgy website someplace. I can't speak from first-hand experience because ED has never been one of my symptoms (and while I was about your age the first time I grappled with this, I'm old enough now that a request for Viagra wouldn't raise any eyebrows).

Avoid the internet, too much can go wrong.

If your urologist doesn't want to, just find another. I'm 26 and over the past year I've suffered from severe erectile dysfunction and I still have not been diagnosed with any concrete problem. I just told the doctor that I couldn't take it anymore and I needed help, even for the sake of my girlfriend. He prescribed me with Cialis, half a pill every couple of days. I still don't find it is enough and take 1 pill 2 hours before intercourse. According to the doctor you won't become reliant on it. I've also got a full blood profile to be done tomorrow which should pinpoint any hormonal deficiencies, which could be a contributing factor.
Symptoms: Testicular pain, non existant libido, lower back pain, groin pain, intermittent discharge (on and off), no morning erections.
Helped by: Antibiotics.

I've found that cialis and viagra do not really help my weak erections. I can still have sex and they definitely increase my erections and the strength of them but they are still weak and small compared to normal.
Age:24 | Onset Age:19 | Symptoms: frequent urination, slow flow, perineum pain, penis tip pain, sometimes lower and upper back pain and foot pain, erectile dysfunction, depression. | Helped By: QUERCETIN, Low carb diet, elimination diet, proper progesterone levels, hot baths | Worsened By: Increased DHT(dihydrotestosterone) from TRT, carbs/sugar, food allergies, not masturbating

I brought up cialis/viagra to my docs and they didn't even really bat an eye, knowing that I clearly have issue with that area of my body. I was a lot more worried about it bringing it up than I needed to be.

Taking 1 cialis the evening/weekend where I got a little action was totally awesome up until recently where I've had my dose of Lyrica increased and also stated Tegretol. Recently, even 1 cialis isn't enough, and it also makes my pain sharper after I pee....so I'm also wondering if people around here with chronic prostatitis / chronic pelvic pain syndrome have any other tricks other than cialis/viagra.
Age: 26 - | Onset Age: 23 - | Symptoms: painful urination, painful ejaculation, cold penis, chronic pain through perenial area and penis esp. at tip of penis, penis desensitization, general pelvic discomfort and pain, dribbling, shooting pains up to abs, VERY easy loss of erection - | Worsened By: cold, sexual activity, alcohol, stress/stressful/strenuous activity, heavy lifting, concentrated urine, marajuana, hiking downhill, running - No Effect: stretching, acupuncture, mindfullness, relaxation, meditation, a blockers (alfuzosin, tamsulosin), antibiotics, painkiller, muscle relaxents, valerian root, quercetin (3 months...tried twice), low oxylate diet, herbal tinctures - Currently Trying: Lyrica 450mg/day + Tegretol 600mg/day. Seems to help a little, but the withdrawal + possibilities of worse pain make it scary to go off...
