Relaxing too much

Post by Mike »

I found doing too much relaxing (actully relaxing the muscles) of the pelvis can bring on spasms (ejaculation feeling but I can hold it back). What a mess I've got into with this, one time it went like this at the end of last week during relaxing the muscles and stretching them and now it will not stop!

I've now got mucles spams in my pelvis 24/7 all the time now, feeling like ejaculation is coming on but it dosen't. It better go away as it's quite simply a nightmare after actully feeling pretty good recently. Pain has vanshied right enough now this has turned up, never thought I'd say this but I want the pain back and this gone!

Mabye it shows up a muscle probelm who knows just wondering if anyone else has had this happen to them? Soloution to fixing it? Nothing works on it it's untouchable! I am starting to wish that I had never even tried the relaxation protcol in the headache book! Pain control I created does nothing for it I've had to stop pain control mostly as I have no pain for it to control now.

Hytrin does not help it in fact I think it makes it worse.

Just a couple of things. Relaxation can never be bad. I hope you understand that. In regards to spasms my own experience ( I have played Volleyball for 13 years professionally) is that when a muscle is really tired and tense it starts to spasm. I would say this is a good thing for you and it WILL go away in my opinion. I would continue and also stretch the areas more often if it was me. I hope however you come to a solution to this asap. I agree, send an e-mail to Dr Wise. I bet he can advide you.

To be more precise. I think the spasms are an indicator of that you are getting better. Please treat this as my opinion however. I suggest you talk to an MD.

Wise does mention that things will get worse before they get better. This may be a good sign.
Good News! The great ProstaQ is BACK at last! You must try it.

That's what i've heard too Mark, could be a good sign in that it has some effect. I would humbly suggest keeping it up although I'm no doctor.

I started to got sphincter muslce spasm this feb. It's exactly like what you experienced, have the feeling of ejaculatio but nothing comes out. Somtimes the spasm is storng, sometimes it is weak. I think no or weak is good before I read the book, but now I follow what the book told me and when I relax, I got spasm easily
In fact, I don't have many symptoms now,(just sometimes feel uncomfortable in sphincter when sitting for too long) what makes me nervous and anxous is the spasm. But now when I do the 'moment-moment relaxation', I got spasm easily. :(
I hope you can get some feedback from Dr Wise. I don't want to repeat the question as it's qutie annoying for him to read and answer many emails which are talking abotu the same subject. And please, share with us what he told you.
Now, I have stopped the moment-moment relaxation and there is another relaxation(i forgot the name), which is quite 'abstract' and hard to pick up. I am just doing those stretching exercies at home. For the trigger point, still haven't read that part.
Finally, hope all of us benefit from the protocol.

I have a good idea of whats going on. I need to do more thinking and research but will post results as I go.

There is the possibility of treatment in my rough area which comes recommended thank fully (good sign!). I am considering this at the moment.

It is not as bad as it was at the start so anyone with it hang in there. This was not an initial symptoms for me I must make clear it only occurred after doing my own experiments using Dr.Wise's book. I tend to ignore where it says don't try this at home kids lol. :-D

I don't want to post the exact words from Dr.Wise but I will add what he has said into my own conclusions and posts as I go with this symptomatic switch. His post was encouraging informative and settled my mind if that helps for just now. I will post what helps and what does not although it's too soon to go into more detail than this currently.

Huh???

Mike,

Your last post is quite cryptic and not easy to understand.

"There is the possibility of treatment in my rough area which comes recommended thank fully (good sign!). "

No disrespect intended, but that phrase is quite difficult to understand than

What is a "symptomatic switch"?

I ask because I strongly believe in Dr. Wise's work and if you are/were having discomfort with it, it would help us all to understand better.

relaxation

Post by tractor316 »

Have been following relaxation routine for the last few days. Even the one web slave put in under post ejac-pain . Have no pain at orgasm or right after. I relax after jogging instead of sit ups - got rid of burning pain along perineum . Pain is not gone but not as severe . Did have spasms last night well sleeping . a little annoying but not as bad as pain . waiting for my copy of A headache in the pelvis to arrive so I can do proper stretching . Feeling confident . Sitting is already easier .

contact Dr Wise

Hi Mike,
I think our situation is somewhat different as I started spasm long before I started to practise the moment-moment relaxation. So I would like to discuss it with Dr Wise. However, how can I contact him by email? I glanced through the book quickly but I couldn't find his email........couldn't find it in the homepage... So could you please let me know his email address?(Does it take months to get the reply?)
Also, is there any patient from HK? Seems it will take a long time for those "high tech, advanced, breakthrough" to come to this city.
:(

My symptomatic switch is that I used to have **just pain** (all sorts of pain up and down relating to triggers etc) and I had **nothing else which I would say bothered me** then I began relaxing physically and mentally like the book says and stretching. Then Pain vanished to be replaced by a feeling like I was on the verge of ejaculation *all the time* and sometimes it would begin to feel like ejaculation was starting up but I could cause it to stop with my mind. That began 2 weeks ago now.

My posts may seem cryptic because I am puzzled also with what has been going on with me it's like trying to explain something I simply do not understand or probably ever will. I'm no doc whatever I say should be taken as nothing more than internet talk and therefore judged accordingly. Dr Wise gave me no special info BTW I would just like to make that clear I sent 1 e-mail with a encouraging reply.

Symptoms brought on from protocol have now subsided mostly (the ejaculation feeling that is) (2 weeks on) although it's still kind of there very mildly at times. I got rid of it actually **ironically** by continuing to do the books protocol and I punched through it. I don't think this is going to cure me but it certainly has helped with the pain levels.

Simple way to put this is if you find using techniques from Dr. Wise's book makes you feel like you are on the verge of ejaculation it has been seen before and *I personally* beat it by continuing the techniques and it subsided. Whatever anyone esle does is up to them.

I have very little pain as I write this post (sometimes none) but I am not making any promises this is going to last for long. As the ejaculation feeling subsided pain came back a little at times but is still below par as of say last month.

I am now continuing to practice the books protocol daily as best I can on a DIY basis.
Mike,

Your last post is quite cryptic and not easy to understand.

"There is the possibility of treatment in my rough area which comes recommended thank fully (good sign!). "

No disrespect intended, but that phrase is quite difficult to understand
As it says there is treatment available in my area as described in the book (myofascial release/stretching) and it came recommended by someone who improved via this treatment from the advised clinic. Good Sign is simply becasue how many people in the UK (even the USA!) have a clinic close to them with this treatment avilable and recomended by a sufferer...

Contact me in private e-mail if you want more info *on my situation only* I could write a small book on my last 2 weeks. Thank fully the ejacualtion feeling is almost gone, it was a nighmare situation, you can't understand it unless it happens to you.

Not at the moment. I'd like some more time to pass before I report on my use of this. I feel it's to early for me to comment. I will comment eventually sorry about this empty answer but just want to be sure I'm correct before I post anything publically. I am doing other things also and I need to be sure on what I post regarding treating myself.

BTW I need to make it clear the spasms I discuss in my first post are now gone. It was not permanent so if you get it someone has had it and it did go away on it's own after I'd say a month or so. 1 week where is was annoying 3 where it faded away. I believe it linked to relaxing and stretching. I still stretch and relax although I belive linked to this in some way pushing through seemed to fix it oddly enough.
